Senior Database Engineer
Full Time · Engineering · Remote
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Motion is growing fast (3x YoY), our product is sticky and we recently raised $30M in Series B funding. We doubled our customers as well as our headcount in 2024, and have just under 60 team members.
But we’re just getting started and we need your help!
We’ve built a new category of software to bridge the gap between performance marketers and creative teams. Our platform combines creative analytics, research, and strategy. Motion is the command center for Creative Strategists.
Our customers are top ecom and DTC brands like Vuori, True Classic, The Farmer’s Dog, HexClad, and thousands more. They’ve used Motion to analyze over $13B in media spend.
Data is at the core of the value we deliver our users. We’ve made do with the default settings and off-the-shelf hosted solutions until now, but our needs have outgrown what we can get without putting in the effort. We are looking for our first dedicated data hire.
This role is a good fit if the idea of a fullstack / end-to-end role with significant autonomy and ownership and ambiguity is appealing to you. The core of the work is hands-on, but you’ll also advise PMs on what’s possible, assist engineers on what needs to improve, and plan with the leads for the longer term.
