About Nema Health

Nema Health is a survivor- and clinician-led virtual treatment program for PTSD and trauma. We are on a mission to help all trauma survivors find lasting peace & healing. Nema provides virtual, evidence-based treatment that helps people feel better faster—and stay better longer. We are committed to delivering care that’s accessible, trauma-specialized, and deeply patient-centered.

At Nema, we offer employees an unparalleled career opportunity: the chance to be part of a mission-driven company while shaping its future during a pivotal stage of growth. If you’re someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, values systems thinking, and cares deeply about expanding access to mental health care, you could be a great fit.

About the Role

As an Associate Partnerships Manager, you’ll be a key player in furthering Nema’s mission to help trauma survivors get access to the care they need. This is a provider-facing field role where your primary goal is to grow patient referrals to Nema by building and nurturing relationships with healthcare partners and their teams; including, but not limited to, primary care physicians, specialists, case managers, office managers, discharge coordinators, medical assistants, etc. There will also be opportunities to expand into partnerships beyond healthcare but the core focus will be in healthcare.

Success in this role will be measured by:

  • Transforming a blank-slate territory into a thriving, predictable engine of provider referrals for Nema.

  • Establishing Nema as the top-of-mind, trusted clinical resource for local providers and hospital systems dealing with trauma and PTSD.

  • Shortening the sales cycle from your first drop-in visit to a discharge coordinator to their first patient referral.

  • Acting as the "eyes and ears" on the ground, bringing critical market feedback back to our teams to improve our provider experience.

Your impact will be felt every day; by putting patients first, being a great referral partner to providers, and ensuring everyone involved in the care delivery and management chain are managed with care.

In this role, you’ll be reporting directly to the Head of Growth.

Please note: This is a full-time, field-based role requiring approximately 60% of the workweek (typically 3 days per week) spent traveling locally and meeting with provider partners within an approximately 2-hour driving radius of your assigned territory. You must reside within the assigned territory, maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle, and be comfortable driving independently throughout the territory. This is an individual contributor role with ownership over provider relationship development and referral growth within the market.

Work Location

Because of the in-person nature and driving consideration for this role, we’re looking for someone who’s based in New Jersey and willing/able to travel throughout New Jersey, Philadelphia, and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll take full ownership of growing your territory and building lasting provider partnerships. You’ll have both the autonomy and support to approach the work creatively and effectively, with a clear focus on driving patient impact. Core responsibilities include:

  • Field Engagement: Spend ~3 days per week in the field, meeting with providers within an approximately 2-hour driving radius of your territory. This role involves potentially working some weekend/evening events or hours, at your discretion. This is a relationship-based role so you have the freedom to tailor your schedule to best manage relationships.

  • Spotting Opportunities: Proactively research, prospect, and identify new provider partners.

  • Connecting & Converting: Build trust and credibility with leads, converting them into referral partners who rely on Nema for their patients’ trauma care.

  • Fostering Relationships: Develop authentic, long-term relationships not only with providers but also with clinic staff, including but not limited to, medical assistants, office managers, and administrators, ensuring the entire office is engaged in supporting patient referrals.

  • Contributing to Growth: Help shape the Provider Partnerships function by refining processes, creating resources, and sharing best practices that strengthen the team.

Why Join Nema

We’re a growing team of clinicians and operators united by a shared mission: to reduce suffering for people with PTSD and other trauma related disorders. As part of Nema, you’ll help build a company where both patients and employees can thrive.

  • Field-based benefits include mileage reimbursement at the IRS standard rate, as well as a company-issued credit card for approved field-related expenses, such as meals, provider engagement activities, printing, and other business-related costs
