We bring together recruiting professionals for meet-ups, curated happy hours, leadership dinners, and industry panels to share insights, connect, and support one another. The events we run are sponsored by TA Tech Vendors. The revenue is then used to help our members who are between jobs.

About the Role We’re hiring a Contract Talent Acquisition Manager to help run and grow our presence in Los Angeles. This isn’t a traditional in-house recruiting role. Instead, we’re looking for someone with a recruitment background who is excited to leverage their network, industry knowledge, and event coordination skills to help us host in-person events for the TA community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help build our network and membership in the LA area.

  • Organize and host monthly Talent IP events (happy hours, leadership dinners, etc.) in the Los Angeles area

  • Partner with local recruiters, TA leaders, and sponsors to build a strong event guest list

  • Help with event logistics: venues, vendors, RSVPs, follow-up communication

  • Represent the Talent IP brand in LA – be a connector and advocate in the TA space

  • Source ideas and feedback to improve our events and grow our impact

  • Contribute to light content efforts: writing invites, LinkedIn updates, or post-event summaries

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or people operations

  • Strong local network in the LA TA community

  • Ability to attend Recruiter events in around the LA area.

  • Confident communicator and comfortable hosting in-person events

  • Organized and detail-oriented – you’ll manage venues, invites, timelines, and budgets

  • Passionate about community-building and elevating the TA profession

  • Self-starter who thrives with autonomy

Contract Details

  • Flexible, part-time contract

  • Fixed fee of $500 for each event hosted, plus hourly rate, profit share, and stock.

  • Occasional travel to in-person in LA with some remote coordination

  • Ideal for someone working freelance, between roles, or looking to diversify their projects
