Technical Lead

Paper.id is a Bank Indonesia–licensed payment service provider. Each of our business units owns its product end to end — Angular web, Flutter mobile, Go services and the data underneath. You’ll lead one of them.

What you’ll do

•     Own technical direction for your unit: architecture, service boundaries, data modelling — and the written reasoning behind each call

•     Ship predictably at a quality bar you set, partnering with Product on the roadmap rather than taking orders from it

•     Mentor and grow your engineers; give structured input into performance reviews (compensation and headcount sit with the EM and VP)

•     Own your services in production — deploy, monitor, respond to incidents, write the postmortem. Leads join the on-call rotation

•     Treat reliability, performance and security as continuous work, not scheduled projects

•     Interview and calibrate for your own squad

What we’re looking for

Must have

•     5+ years shipping production software, including 2+ years leading a team

•     Depth in Go microservices, async messaging, and a real grasp of eventual vs. strong consistency

•     Productive in a modern FE & SPA framework — Angular, React or Vue

•     Strong MySQL: schema design, indexing, query performance, migrations on large tables. Plus a document or graph store in production, or clear evidence you pick up new data stores fast — we run ArangoDB across a dozen services

•     Mobile literacy to lead: review Flutter PRs, reason about release trains, and spot an API change that breaks app versions already on people’s phones. Able to write Flutter code is a bonus

•     Cloud and production ownership — you’ve been on the hook when your services broke

•     Bias for action. You make technical calls with incomplete information, commit to them, and own the outcome — rather than waiting for consensus or escalating decisions that are yours to make

Nice to have

•     Hands-on Flutter/BLoC

•     Graph data modelling

•     Payments or another regulated domain (QRIS, virtual accounts, e-wallets)

•     Previous B2B/SaaS experience
