Your Mission

We’re looking for a Lead Quantitative Researcher (Head of Quant Strategy) to lead our growing team of quants building the next generation of trading, risk, and pricing infrastructure at Paradex. You’ll define and execute our quant research roadmap, guide the development of systematic trading strategies and risk models, and ensure our models perform across spot, options, perpetuals, and on-chain derivatives.

This is an in-office role based in Singapore, with full relocation support for exceptional candidates worldwide.

What You’ll Do

• Lead & Scale: Build and lead a high-performing quant research team, mentoring junior quants and fostering a rigorous research-driven culture.

• Architect & Execute: Design the core architecture for systematic trading and risk engines across our on-chain derivatives and spot markets.

• Model Development: Oversee the design and implementation of volatility surfaces, liquidity and risk models, and strategy backtesting frameworks.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work directly with engineering, protocol, and product teams to bring quant models from research to production in a fully decentralized environment.

• Strategy Design: Identify and test systematic trading opportunities across Paradex markets, balancing innovation, scalability, and on-chain execution efficiency.

• Data & Simulation: Drive infrastructure improvements for data ingestion, analytics, and simulation pipelines to support model development and validation.

• Quant Leadership: Represent the quant team within Paradex leadership, influencing product design and trading direction through quantitative insight.

• Stay Ahead: Research and deploy novel methodologies (ML, agent-based modeling, microstructure simulation) to maintain a competitive DeFi edge.

What You Bring

• 8+ years in quantitative research, trading, or risk at a trading firm, hedge fund, or crypto-native venue.

• Proven track record leading teams and shipping production-grade quantitative systems.

• Deep understanding of derivatives pricing, market microstructure, and DeFi liquidity dynamics.

• Strong coding ability in Python, C++, or Go — with experience in backtesting, data pipelines, and simulation frameworks.

• Advanced quantitative degree (PhD or Master’s) in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field is a plus

• Experience deploying or interacting with on-chain trading systems is a major plus.

• Self-starter mindset with the ability to think independently and act decisively in fast-moving, high-stakes environments.

• Passion for crypto, decentralized finance, and pushing the limits of what’s possible on-chain.
