The Commercial Analyst (Commercial Performance & Growth Analytics) plays a critical role in enabling data-driven commercial decisions. This role focuses on analyzing performance, building business cases, and establishing clear measurement frameworks to ensure growth initiatives deliver measurable impact. Partnering closely with cross-functional teams, the role turns complex data into actionable insights that drive sustainable growth and improve commercial execution.

Skills & Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or a related analytical field

  • 2–4 years of experience in commercial analytics, business analytics, or strategy-related roles

  • Strong experience in revenue analysis, customer behavior analysis, and commercial trade-off evaluation

  • Proven capability in opportunity sizing, business casing, sensitivity analysis, and ROI modeling

  • Strong SQL skills (must-have)

  • Advanced spreadsheet modeling skills (must-have)

  • Experience with Python or R for analysis and automation (preferred)

  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations

  • Experience working cross-functionally with commercial, product, operations, or finance teams

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain recurring commercial performance reports covering key KPIs and business drivers

  • Analyze drivers behind changes in volume, revenue quality, discount effectiveness, and margin proxies

  • Conduct deep-dive analyses on segments, channels, products, and performance anomalies

  • Develop business cases for commercial initiatives, including upside/downside scenarios and risk assessment

  • Prepare clear, leadership-ready decision memos outlining recommendations, expected impact, and measurement plans

  • Design pilot and experiment measurement frameworks (cohorts, baselines, success metrics, guardrails)

  • Ensure tracking readiness before launch and deliver post-launch performance evaluations

  • Build self-serve dashboards and automated reporting tools for stakeholders

  • Create reusable analytics templates, models, and frameworks to reduce ad-hoc work

  • Act as a strategic analytics partner to Commercial, Product, Operations, Finance, and CX teams
