We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic startup disrupting mobility and living space. The ideal candidate is early in their career but brings hands-on curiosity, a strong engineering foundation, and a drive to learn and grow in a fast-paced product environment. You'll work alongside experienced engineers on real design challenges, contributing to products that are both technically rigorous and genuinely meaningful.
Responsibilities:
Support the development of innovative designs for vehicle exteriors, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to optimize design functionality and manufacturability.
Assist in conducting simulations and testing to evaluate new designs and improve existing ones.
Prepare engineering drawings and specifications for manufacturing under the guidance of senior engineers.
Work with suppliers and manufacturing teams to understand design feasibility and quality requirements.
Document design work and contribute to technical reports and design reviews.
Actively participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback to improve your work.
Stay current with trends and technologies in automotive and exterior design.
Support efforts to ensure designs are sustainable, cost-effective, and aligned with project budgets.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; 0–2 years of experience (internships and co-ops count).
Exposure to automotive mechanical design principles with familiarity with CAD software such as CATIA V5/V6, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
Basic understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
Some exposure to FEA or simulation tools is a plus, but not required.
Strong problem-solving instincts and attention to detail.
Collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Clear communicator — comfortable asking questions and sharing ideas.
Genuine passion for sustainability, innovation, and building things that matter.
