If the idea of building out the future sparks your imagination and intersects with your skills, we’d love to meet you.

Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Engineer, Vehicle Packaging to own the spatial architecture of Pebble’s electric trailers — defining how every system fits together within a compact, fully electric platform.

You will establish and maintain the master package, enforce hard points and clearance requirements across disciplines, and translate living space requirements into a buildable vehicle architecture. This role works closely with chassis, interior systems, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and industrial design teams to ensure clean integration across all variants and builds.

Responsibilities
• Own and maintain the master vehicle package, establishing spatial allocation and enforcing hard points and clearance requirements for all systems — HV battery, chassis/underbody, plumbing, HVAC, electrical harness routing, closures, and interior habitation.
• Lead packaging studies and layout proposals for new platform concepts and feature derivatives, identifying and resolving conflicts early and presenting trade-offs to cross-functional teams and program leadership.
• Drive underbody packaging decisions including battery enclosure placement, axle clearance envelopes, tank positioning, and tow hitch integration.
• Optimize interior habitation packaging — sleeping, kitchen, bath, and storage zones — for ergonomics, user access, and manufacturability, in close collaboration with industrial design.
• Develop and manage packaging drawings, spatial models, and section views in
3DEXPERIENCE/CATIA V6 to communicate intent and freeze interfaces across design reviews and supplier engagements.
• Contribute to Pebble’s vehicle packaging standards and documentation, helping establish foundational processes as the company and platform scale.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of vehicle packaging experience at an automotive OEM, EV startup, or tier-1 supplier, with demonstrated ownership of multi-system packaging in a production program.

• Proficiency in 3DEXPERIENCE/CATIA V6 strongly preferred; CATIA V5 or NX considered. Must be able to develop spatial proposals, section cuts, and packaging drawings independently.
• Working knowledge of interior, exterior, underbody, and chassis packaging — including ergonomics, clearance management, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up.
• Familiarity with EV-specific packaging: HV battery placement, high-voltage harness routing, thermal clearances, and charge port integration.
• Strong spatial reasoning — able to read complex geometry and surface conflicts, constraints, and optimization opportunities quickly.
• Self-motivated and adaptable in a fast-paced startup environment; comfortable driving decisions when requirements are still evolving.
• Experience with towed vehicles, RVs, or specialty vehicles is a plus — curiosity about the space is expected.
