About Pebble

Pebble is a sustainable living startup defining a new way to live, work and explore from anywhere with a 100% electric, hassle-free RV trailer. Built by a team of experts in both automotive and consumer technology, Pebble combines electrification with cutting-edge automotive technology for a travel trailer experience that removes the hassles RV trailer owners have struggled with for decades.

At Pebble, we are building out the future of lighter, more flexible living. We see a world where your home can be anywhere you want to take it. Pebble blends the best of what it means to be at home, on the road, and off-grid into something useful and magical. This is a collective effort. Our team is dedicated to making not just products, but a lifestyle that is truly sustainable. If the idea of building out the future sparks your imagination and intersects with your skills, we'd love to meet you.

The Community Manager is the person who makes Pebble a brand people belong to, not just buy from. You will own the owner and prospect community: where it lives, what it talks about, and how it feels to join. Events are your main tool for bringing it together in person, from owner meetups to showroom nights to trailer-in-the-wild camp weekends. Every community touchpoint should leave sales with a warmer lead and service with a happier owner. To apply, send your resume with a note on one community you have built & what changed because of it.

What you'll own

Community (roughly 70% of the role)

  • Build and own the Pebble owner community, and move the community from Discord to Facebook, including migrating existing members and conversations into an owners group you run.

  • Welcome every new owner and own the path from delivery to advocate: onboarding, check-ins, owner spotlights, and a clear way to ask for help.

  • Create and launch a customer brand ambassador program: pilot it with a beta group of owners, set the criteria, perks and expectations, and grow it into a roster of owners who bring in the next buyer.

  • Be the community's voice inside Pebble: collect feedback, tow-vehicle questions and recurring pain points, route them to Product, Service and Sales with clear summaries, and support those teams with community content and owner stories when they need it.

  • Own social media response: answer comments, messages and posts quickly and in brand voice, and handle public complaints with Service so they get resolved where everyone can see it.

  • Create and own Pebble's owner referral program: structure, rewards, tracking and handoff of referred leads to Sales. Keep community content and brand social telling one story with Marketing.

Events (roughly 30%)

  • Plan and run owner meetups, showroom nights, test-tow weekends and partner events in the regions where owners and buyers cluster, plus support at larger shows.

  • Own the full event cycle: concept, budget, vendors, permits, logistics, promotion, on-site run, and follow-up within 48 hours.

  • Tow and set up Pebble trailers at events, and host tours with sales staff.

  • Capture every attendee in the CRM and hand warm leads to Sales with notes.

  • Measures of success

  • Active community members and month-over-month engagement.

  • Share of new owners who join the community within 30 days of delivery.

  • Referral and ambassador-sourced leads and orders.

  • Event attendance, leads captured, and event-sourced orders per dollar spent.

What you'll bring

Must have

  • 3–5 years in community management, brand community or owner engagement, ideally in RV, outdoor, automotive, EV or another high-consideration consumer category.

  • A track record of growing an active community, not just posting: you can show membership, engagement and referral numbers you moved.

  • Hands-on event experience: you have planned and run events with vendors, budgets and logistics, and you stay calm when plans change on the day.

  • Strong writing and a natural voice. You represent Pebble publicly, so clear, warm and quick matters.

  • Comfort with a CRM and simple reporting in Excel or Google Sheets.

  • Ideally based in CA or West Coast, a remote role with travel often across the US for events and to tow a trailer; a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Nice to have

  • Experience with owners' clubs, dealer communities or RV and camper brands.

  • Experience working with creators, ambassadors or influencers.

  • Familiarity with community platforms such as Discord, Circle, Facebook Groups or Reddit.

  • Interest in electric vehicles, off-grid living or travel-trailer life. You do not need to own a trailer, but you should love the lifestyle.

  • Experience working next to a sales team and tying community work to revenue.
