About the role


As the Head of Strategic Partnerships at Plum, you will be responsible for driving growth through large-scale distribution partnerships with banks, financial platforms, and people platforms. This key leadership position requires a strategic mindset, excellent relationship-building skills, and a proven track record of delivering results through partnerships. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive partnership strategy aligned with Plum's ambitious growth objectives

  • Identify, negotiate, and close high-value partnerships with institutions such as financial services firms incl. NBFCs and banks, financial technology platforms, and people platforms to expand Plum's reach

  • Own and achieve revenue and growth targets through strategic partnerships, contributing to Plum's goal of covering more businesses and lives

  • Build and manage a team of partnership professionals to support Plum's expansion

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Marketing, Legal, etc.) to ensure successful partnership integrations and leverage Plum's tech-first approach

  • Represent Plum at industry events and conferences to build relationships and identify new opportunities

  • Stay informed about trends in the health benefits, insurance, and HR tech industries to identify potential partnership opportunities


Qualifications

  • Proven experience (10+ years) in building and managing large-scale partnerships, preferably in fintech, insurtech, healthtech, or related industries

  • Track record of closing and scaling partnerships with significant revenue impact ($10M+)

  • Strong understanding of the health benefits ecosystem, insurance industry, and emerging HR tech trends

  • Ace communication and presentation skills, whether it's with storytelling or breaking down complex concepts in a how-to document.

  • Excellent negotiation skills

  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans

  • A collaborative mindset, and ability to work closely cross-functionally to achieve shared goals

  • A data-driven approach to decision making and performance tracking

  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams
