We’re now scaling our B2C Personal Insurance vertical and are looking for an experienced and driven Manager to lead our frontline retail sales consultants.

Role Overview

As the Manager - Personal Insurance, you will lead and coach a high-performing team that helps individual consumers purchase life and health insurance products. You’ll be responsible for driving revenue growth, improving funnel conversion, optimising digital sales processes, and enhancing the overall customer experience.This is a fast-paced, performance-oriented role suited for someone who has managed retail sales teams in insurance, financial services, or digital-first consumer businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Coaching

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 5 - 10 B2C insurance sales consultants.

  • Conduct weekly 1:1s, regular coaching sessions, and performance reviews.

  • Support team members with high-value or complex customer conversations.

Sales Execution & Performance

  • Own and exceed sales targets (monthly/quarterly revenue, conversion rates).

  • Manage high-velocity inbound/outbound sales funnels through digital channels (WhatsApp, phone, web chat, app).

  • Drive consistent execution of scripts, sales playbook, and objection-handling techniques.

Digital Funnel Optimisation:

  • Improve lead-to-sale conversion through CRM automation and data-driven insights.

  • Track and report on key metrics like lead response time, CAC, LTV, and churn.

Customer-Centric Sales

  • Ensure each prospect receives a consultative, personalised insurance buying experience.

  • Resolve escalations and improve NPS/CSAT through empathy-driven leadership.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Marketing, Product, and Ops to improve lead quality, optimise customer journeys, and surface customer feedback.

  • Collaborate with underwriting and insurer partners to support customised offerings and high-quality service.

Training & Enablement

  • Own onboarding and upskilling of new hires.

  • Keep the team updated on new product launches, regulatory changes, and market dynamics.

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of total experience in sales; at least 3–5 years in a team leadership role.

  • Experience in B2C/retail sales in insurance, fintech, insurtech, or BFSI.

  • Proven ability to lead a high-volume, target-driven, consultative sales team.

  • Strong data orientation with comfort using CRMs (e.g., Leadsquared, Salesforce), dashboards, and Excel/Sheets.

  • Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Player-coach mindset – you’re hands-on when needed and strategic when it matters.

Good to Have

  • Experience in a consumer-focused startup or high-growth company.

  • Exposure to digital-first sales environments (chat/voice/WhatsApp).

  • Familiarity with health and life insurance regulations and product design.
