We are seeking an exceptional Real-Time Software Engineer to join our mission of advancing brain-computer interface technology. You will design and develop core components of Precision’s ultra-high-bandwidth neurological data pipeline, novel device interfaces and mission critical patient-side infrastructure. The right candidate will get the unique opportunity to own large-scale efforts from rapid prototyping through deployment in a transformational space. Reports into Senior Director, Software Engineering.
This position will be based in our Manhattan, Santa Clara, Chicago, Indianapolis, or Addison office. We are unable to consider remote workers or individuals who are not currently based in the US and legally authorized to work in the US.
Work with the product and software teams to design and develop data pipeline components to acquire, stream, and process ultra-high-bandwidth, multi-mode neurological data
Work with the machine learning team to design components and interfaces to enable real-time neurological decoding
Develop control and telemetry components to interface with both implantable and consumer mobile devices
Perform rapid prototyping cycles to discover and evaluate new concepts and de-risk technical pathways
Operate within an IEC 62304-compliant Software Development Life Cycle, meeting necessary compliance and regulatory requirements
Provide necessary training and support for field and clinical teams (up to 10% travel)
Generate supporting documentation as needed
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
3+ years' experience in real-time, embedded or middleware engineering
Proven track record of full-lifecycle development through deployment to production
1+ years’ experience working with AI tooling in a commercial setting
Proven experience working with connected devices or IoT frameworks
Experience working in a regulated space
Experience interacting with edge Machine Learning implementations
