We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards.

• Ensure the quality and presentation of food meets restaurant standards.

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following health and safety guidelines.

• Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking supplies.

• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service.

• Monitor food temperatures and ensure proper food handling practices.

• Adhere to portion control and waste reduction guidelines.

• Assist in the training of new kitchen staff as needed.

• Communicate effectively with the Head Chef/Kitchen Manager regarding any issues or concerns.

• Perform other duties, as assigned.

Pay: $18-$19/hour plus tips, $5-9 an hour

Schedule:

Friday 9:30-6

Saturday 9:30-6

Monday 9:30-6

Tuesday 9:30-6

32hrs, full time.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Proven experience as a Prep Cook or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

• Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and holidays.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Other Requirements:

• Availability to work around peak hours, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

• Must retain a reasonably open availability, including weekends, and be willing to meet the current needs of the shop.

• Willingness to work as part of a high-energy, efficient team in a fast-paced environment.
