The People Services Generalist will serve as the operational backbone of the People Services team, handling transactional and administrative HR functions to ensure seamless employee experiences from hire to retire. This role will require strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a high-volume environment.
This position will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including new hire onboarding, benefits administration, employee services and support, HR data management and compliance, and HR projects and process improvement.

1-3 years of HR experience, preferably with a bachelor's degree, but not required.
Strong knowledge of HRIS systems, including UKG, and benefits administration.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
PHR or SHRM-CP certification is preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Physical requirements include constant range of motion and mobility, regular sitting or standing, and ability to carry equipment weighing up to 20 pounds.
New Hire Onboarding & Administration (30%):
Process all new hire paperwork, including I-9, W-4, direct deposit, and emergency contacts.
Administer pre-hire screening process, including drug screens, background checks, and pre-employment assessments.
Coordinate and conduct new hire orientation and first-day logistics.
Set up new employees in UKG and submit IT tickets for email and system access.
Set up employee portal and audit employee data for accuracy.
Ensure complete and compliant employee files.
Regularly audit employee files for completion and compliance.
Benefits Administration (25%):
Serve as an additional point of contact for employee benefits questions.
Process life event benefit changes and enter in UKG.
Coordinate with insurance carriers and Marsh McLennan.
Assist with annual open enrollment preparation and execution.
Manage and coordinate annual flu shot clinics and biometric screenings.
Collaborate and initiate wellness initiatives.
Employee Services & Support (20%):
Respond to routine employee HR questions, including PTO, policies, and procedures.
Process and reply to employment verifications and garnishment requests accurately and timely.
Maintain employee files, both electronic and physical.
Update employee information in UKG.
Process employee status changes, including promotions and transfers.
Process termination paperwork and provide post-exit support.
HR Data Management & Compliance (15%):
Maintain accurate employee data in UKG and other systems.
Run standard HR reports and metrics.
Audit employee files for completeness and compliance.
Track and maintain training certifications.
Ensure I-9 compliance and conduct internal I-9 audits.
HR Projects & Process Improvement (10%):
Assist with special HR projects as assigned.
Identify areas to streamline HR processes.
Assist in advising HR Manager on courses of action to improve policies, procedures, and forms.
Support performance review and compensation review processes.
