The Assistant Superintendent - MC is a dynamic and experienced professional who will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a major construction project. As a key member of the project management team, this individual will work closely with the Superintendent, project stakeholders, and subcontractors to ensure the successful completion of the project within budget, schedule, and scope.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of skilled workers to achieve project goals. A strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety procedures is essential for this role, as is the ability to problem-solve and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Skills & Qualification

  • Proven experience in construction project management, with a strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety procedures.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of skilled workers to achieve project goals.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.

  • Proficient in project management software, including Microsoft Project, Procore, and other construction-related tools.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.

  • Ability to travel to project sites, as needed, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Superintendent in overseeing the daily operations of a major construction project, including managing project schedules, budgets, and resources.

  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.

  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of project work.

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans, in collaboration with the Superintendent and project stakeholders.

  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues on the project, and recommend solutions to the Superintendent and project stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with the project team to develop and implement project quality control and assurance plans.

  • Provide regular project updates and reports to the Superintendent, project stakeholders, and other interested parties.

  • Assist with conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback to project team members.

  • Assist with developing and implementing project training and development programs for project team members.
