Rogers-O'Brien Construction is seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our equipment rental department as an Equipment Rental Representative. This role will primarily involve assisting Trade Partner (TP) customers with their equipment rental needs, managing rental orders, and providing exceptional service to ensure customer satisfaction.

This Equipment Rental Representative will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and driving business growth. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to multitask efficiently, and have a strong understanding of construction equipment and industry trends.

Skills & Qualification

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in business administration or a related field is a plus.

  • Previous experience in customer service, sales, or equipment rental is preferred.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office and rental management software.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities effectively.

  • Knowledge of construction equipment and industry trends is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Service: Serve as the primary point of contact for TP customers inquiring about equipment rentals, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring a positive rental experience.

  • Rental Coordination: Manage rental orders from initial inquiry to equipment return, coordinate equipment availability, reservations, and scheduling to meet customer demands, and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed promptly and accurately.

  • Order Processing: Process rental orders accurately and efficiently using our rental management software.

  • Equipment Knowledge: Develop a thorough understanding of our equipment inventory, including specifications, capabilities, and proper usage, and provide guidance and recommendations to customers regarding equipment selection and usage.

  • Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring equipment inventory levels and availability, coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure equipment is properly maintained, serviced, and ready for rental.

  • Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to identify potential rental opportunities and support rental-related sales initiatives, provide product information, and assist with pricing and quotes as needed.

  • Safety Compliance: Promote a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines, educate customers on proper equipment usage and safety precautions.
