Sanctuary AI, a world leader in building dexterity-driven Physical AI for general purpose robots, is looking to hire a skilled and motivated Senior UX Designer to join our Software Development team.

 

As Senior UX Designer, you’ll design the user interaction and information architecture for Sanctuary AI’s data collection and model training platform, enabling the efficient collection of high quality task demonstration data for the training of our high performance ML policies. You will partner closely with users across engineering, product, operations, and research to accelerate Sanctuary’s mission to build human-like intelligence in general purpose robots.

Success Criteria

• Develop a deep understanding of robotic data collection and model training workflows, delivering clear proposals for optimizing workflows with intuitive user experiences.
• Leverage prior experience in data-intensive applications to ensure automated tracking of progress as we teach our robots new skills.
• Grow expertise in multimodal data visualization, ML and robotics UX, and workflow design for technical users while influencing long-term design strategy.
• Mentor others by modeling systems-level design thinking, communicating UX impact across teams, and ensuring user needs remain central to platform evolution.

• Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of real world design experience in a commercial organization
• A track record of technical excellence and successful design projects

• Deep understanding of information architecture, workflow design, and systems mapping.
• Strong research and communication skills
• Ability to synthesize technical complexity into intuitive frameworks.
• Familiarity with agile software development and collaboration across engineering, product, and research.
• Experience with design tools (Figma, Miro, Lucidchart, etc.) and documenting design systems.
