About the Role

We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Controller to strengthen our finance and controllership function. You will own financial reporting, accounting operations, compliance, internal controls, and financial process automation. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge and the ability to build scalable financial systems in a fast-growing startup environment.

Location: Bangalore

What You'll Do

Financial Reporting & Accounting

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes

• Prepare financial statements in accordance with Ind AS

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records

• Maintain chart of accounts and accounting policies

Controllership & Compliance

• Oversee statutory compliance including Companies Act, GST, TDS, and other regulatory filings

• Manage statutory, tax, and internal audits

• Work closely with external auditors and advisors

• Ensure strong internal financial controls

Financial Operations

• Manage AP, AR, payroll accounting, and expense management

• Oversee vendor payments and reconciliations

• Ensure timely closure of books and reconciliations

Financial Analysis & Management Reporting

• Build management reports, variance analyses, and financial dashboards

• Support budgeting and forecasting processes

• Prepare financial insights for leadership decision-making

Systems & Process Improvement

• Build and automate financial processes and reporting

• Implement and improve finance systems, workflows, and controls

• Drive process improvements to support scale

Strategic Finance Support

• Support fundraising, due diligence, and investor reporting

• Assist with ESOP accounting and cap table management

• Own international entity accounting and consolidation

What We're Looking For

• CA (Chartered Accountant) qualification

• 3–4 years of experience in finance or controllership roles

• Experience in a startup, technology company, or Big 4 advisory

• Strong understanding of Ind AS and financial reporting standards

• Experience managing audits and regulatory compliance

• Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills

• Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills

• Good communication and stakeholder management skills

Bonus Points

• Exposure to international entity structures (Singapore/US)

• Experience with ESOP accounting and cap table management

• Familiarity with financial systems and automation tools
