Role Overview

We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Controller to

strengthen our finance and controllership function. The role will be responsible for

financial reporting, accounting operations, compliance, internal controls, and financial

process automation.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical accounting knowledge, exceptional

Excel skills, and the ability to build scalable financial systems in a fast-growing startup

environment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Accounting

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes

• Prepare financial statements in accordance with Ind AS

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records

• Maintain chart of accounts and accounting policies

Controllership & Compliance

• Oversee statutory compliance including Companies Act, GST, TDS, and other

regulatory filings

• Manage statutory audit, tax audit, and internal audits

• Work closely with external auditors and advisors

• Ensure strong internal financial controls

Financial Operations

• Manage AP, AR, payroll accounting, and expense management

• Oversee vendor payments and reconciliations

• Ensure timely closure of books and reconciliations

Financial Analysis & Management Reporting

• Build management reports, variance analysis, and financial dashboards

• Support budgeting and forecasting processes

• Prepare financial insights for leadership decision-making

Systems & Process Improvement

• Build and automate financial processes and reporting

• Implement and improve finance systems, workflows, and controls

• Drive process improvements to support scale

Strategic Finance Support

• Support fundraising, due diligence, and investor reporting

• Assist with ESOP accounting and cap table management

• Work on international entity accounting and consolidation

Required Qualifications

• CA (Chartered Accountant) qualification required

• 3-4 years of experience in finance / controllership roles

• Experience in startup, technology company, or Big 4 advisory preferred

• Strong understanding of Ind AS and financial reporting

• Experience managing audits and regulatory compliance

Skills Required

• Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills

• Strong accounting and analytical ability

• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability

• Good communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience with venture-backed startups

• Exposure to international structures (Singapore/US entities)

• Experience handling ESOP accounting and cap table management

• Familiarity with financial systems and automation tools
