About the Role

This is not a traditional QA role. You will own frontend quality across Sarvam's products end to end — web apps, streaming interfaces, and AI interaction layers. You will build systems, not test cases, and use AI aggressively to multiply your output. You will operate with high autonomy, define what good quality means, and push back on releases when the bar isn't met. There is no separate QA layer — you are the layer.

What You'll Do

•  Define and implement testing strategy across web apps (React/Next.js), streaming UIs (token-by-token rendering), and agentic and chat-based interfaces

•  Ensure correctness across state transitions, rendering, latency, and responsiveness in production

•  Build and maintain automation systems — not scripts — including component and integration tests and visual regression pipelines with pixel-perfect UI validation

•  Use AI as a force multiplier across your testing and automation workflows

•  Partner directly with frontend engineers, identify gaps before they become incidents, and own the decision to block releases when quality thresholds are not met

What We're Looking For

•  4–5 years in QA or SDET roles

•  Strong systems understanding across frontend, browsers, backend, APIs, and agentic architectures

• Working knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, Chrome DevTools, Android Studio, and Xcode

•  Deep experience with Playwright or similar browser automation tools, and hands-on browser debugging

•  Experience using AI to accelerate and automate testing workflows

Bonus Points

•  Experience with AI or chat interfaces, streaming protocols (SSE/WebSockets), or voice and real-time systems

•  Experience building internal developer tooling
