About Sattva
We Partner to deliver social impact at scale
Sattva Consulting is a global impact consulting firm from India. Since 2009 we have been engaging with communities, business and government to achieve societal impact at scale. We believe that Civil society, Business and Government all have a critical role to play in building an equitable and sustainable world, and we actively partner with all stakeholders to enable impact through our advisory orchestration services, knowledge and data platforms which we have built as public goods for the ecosystem and collaborative solutions and partnerships.
Our teams are based in India, Singapore, Denmark and UK, but as a global organization our work has spanned 25 countries and 5 continents. For more information, please visit: www.sattva.co.in
The Opportunity
This is the role that anchors Sattva’s AI transformation. You drive the agenda for how AI changes the way we work, and you carry the organisation along that journey.
You are accountable for making Responsible AI adoption happen; the business units and enablement teams you work with own the outcomes in their areas.
You are inheriting live momentum from an outgoing AI Solution Lead: tools in place, a policy about to land, pilots in validation, a knowledge-management effort under way and an engaged network of AI champions.
Alongside internal transformation, this role involves client engagements under the AI for Nonprofits offering, where the lessons of our own journey become the substance of what we deliver.
Key responsibilities:
You will focus on four pillars.
Make AI fluency universal, so that every Sattvan knows which tools suit which tasks and uses them responsibly and well. Build on what exists, including the AI Ninja Program, the AI Open House and the responsible-use assessment results.
Keep the organisation informed. Run regular updates for leadership and for all of Sattva, so progress, lessons and next steps stay visible.
Steward the AI Policy. With security, legal and IT, assess privacy, consent, confidentiality, vendor terms, access and data retention, and translate policy into pragmatic controls and plain-language guidance.
Discover and prioritise opportunities with business unit leaders, enablement heads and delivery teams. Understand real workflows, assess feasibility, value, data readiness, cost and risk, define measurable outcomes, and keep a transparent pipeline of use cases.
Design practical solutions such as assistants, agentic workflows and reusable skills and playbooks, combining AI with the systems and data we already use. Build first versions yourself with AI and low-code tools, make build-versus-buy choices, and bring in external partners for larger builds.
Grow and equip the AI champion network, so capability spreads well beyond you. Coach champions, give them ready-to-use playbooks, and learn from what they see in the field.
Move pilots into stable, dependable use, each with an accountable business owner.
Help take the AI for Nonprofits offering from definition to its first engagements, working alongside the consulting teams that lead it.
Support delivery directly through discovery workshops, use-case design, prototypes and hands-on training for nonprofit teams.
Evaluate AI products and implementation partners, and oversee the relevant licences, budgets and integrations.
Keep the portfolio manageable and current, retiring tools and pilots that no longer earn their place.
Skills Required:
Typically 6+ years across product or software delivery, technology consulting, digital transformation or similar work, with demonstrable hands-on experience designing and deploying GenAI workflows that people actually use. Equivalent capability matters more than a rigid tenure threshold.
Led adoption or change across a largely non-technical workforce, and can show what changed as a result.
Developed AI PoCs and run AI pilots with accountable business owners. Has taken some of them to productive use and adoption.
Worked across multiple teams, business units or clients, facilitated workshops, and mentored champions or junior builders.
Highly hands-on with today’s frontier models, harnesses and tools. You use them every day and know what each is good for.
A pragmatic builder who gets a working first version up fast with AI and low-code tools. Deep coding skills are not what we are looking for.
Strong at workflow discovery, problem framing and prioritisation, and at turning pilots into maintainable services.
A clear writer and communicator who can explain trade-offs to a busy consultant and a senior leader alike.
Exceptional at working with people. You earn time and commitment from colleagues who are busy with their own projects, and you lead through influence rather than authority.
Genuinely enthusiastic and curious about AI, while clear-eyed about its pitfalls.
Fast and pragmatic: you build a first version quickly, test it against real work, and prefer measured impact to tool novelty.
A patient teacher who enjoys helping people from any background become confident with new tools.
Familiarity with social-sector consulting, NGO operations, due diligence, monitoring and evaluation, field data collection, research workflows or organisation-wide knowledge management.
What Success Looks Like
-In 3 months, you will have completed a structured handover of priority pilots, knowledge systems, governance, tool access and vendor obligations, each with a clear sponsor and next decision. You will have met every business unit head, enablement head and AI champion, published a concise use-case rubric and pipeline, and chosen a small set of high-value opportunities with baselines, milestones, owners and go/no-go criteria. For at least one workflow, you will have shown a repeatable benchmark, a failure taxonomy and a human-review design, and reached a decision to pilot, redesign or stop. You begin engaging with clients on AI strategy and implementation projects.
-In 6 months, the first pilots will be in stable use with accountable owners, the AI Policy will be working as practical controls and guidance, and adoption will be measured at the level of real workflows. You would have delivered a few client engagements via the AI for Nonprofits offering.
-In 12 months, selected use cases will show verified outcomes, with evidence of quality, adoption and a credible estimate of time, cost or service improvement. Every business unit and enablement team will have AI use cases in regular use, and Sattva will have documented solution patterns, review standards, reusable assets, trained champions and a current portfolio. Externally, Sattva would have established itself as a key enabler of AI transformation for Nonprofits.
This won’t work if you are a pure technologist who builds elegant tools nobody adopts. Adoption is not an afterthought to the job.
This won’t work if you are an evangelist who runs inspiring workshops but cannot build, test or evaluate a solution yourself.
This won’t work if your strength is writing production code and that is how you want to spend your days. We need someone who moves fast with AI tools and gets others moving, not a software engineer.
This won’t work if you need a large team or formal authority to get things done. You will have a couple of interns, a network of champions and your ability to bring people along.
Influence without authority. The people you need are busy delivering their own projects. Leadership is behind this transformation, but that buy-in opens doors; it does not do the work of earning people’s time and commitment. That depends on you.
A largely non-technical organisation. Fluency for 400 people from diverse backgrounds means meeting each of them where they are, in the language of their own work.
A team of one. Beyond a couple of interns, your leverage comes from champions, partners and reusable assets you create, so you must choose carefully where to spend your own hands-on time.
Starting mid-flight. Pilots, policy, knowledge curation and programmes are already moving, and the person who started them is leaving. You will need to learn fast and keep momentum without losing quality.
Two audiences at once. Internal transformation and client work under AI for Nonprofits pull on the same hours.
A moving target. AI tools change month to month. You will hold steady standards for evaluation and responsible use while the tools themselves keep shifting.
Highly visible. You will update leadership and the whole organisation regularly. Progress will be seen, and so will anything that stalls.
Near-term. AI is reshaping consulting, both in how the work is done and in what clients will pay for. The choices Sattva makes over the next two years will decide whether we lead that shift or catch up to it.
Mid-term. Through AI for Nonprofits, what works inside Sattva becomes a path for nonprofits across the sector. Your work multiplies well beyond our own walls, which is impact at scale in its truest sense.
Personal. This is a highly visible role with regular access to leadership, and a rare chance to shape how an organisation of 400 people works through the AI era.
