Sourcing Manager - Packaging

What you get to do:

  • Develop packaging strategies that will result in solutions that keeps our seafood cold and stands out to customers, restaurants, distributors, and wholesalers

  • Collaborate with Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Logistics teams to ensure packaging solutions maintain product freshness, keep product cold, and meet brand requirements

  • Stay current on sustainable packaging trends and innovations, particularly those relevant to Seafood

  • Lead cross-functional projects and routinely present metrics, recommendations, and operational considerations to Senior Leadership

  • Lead negotiations with current and future suppliers to support our business objectives

  • Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential future vendors, conducting regular performance reviews

  • Align on Operational strategy around sourcing, identifying, and qualifying new suppliers

  • Test and collect data on packaging solutions to evaluate efficacy

  • Forecast packaging needs based on production schedules and sales projections

  • Verify all materials coming to contact with our product are food-safe and suitable

  • Partner with QA team to address any packaging-related product issues

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of professional experience in an analytical, supply chain and/or operations role

  • Prior experience in packaging is strongly preferred

  • Ability to collaborate efficiently and drive cross-functional successes

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • A self-starter who excels in a dynamic, fast-moving environment

  • Hunger for high-quality, high-value work

Other things to know:

You will have the opportunity to visit suppliers from around the globe and own strategic sourcing, supplier relationships, production, and inventory strategy for packaging. You will work cross-functionally with Marketing to uphold brand standards, Sales & Operations planning to ensure stock is on-hand, Logistics to meet timely deliveries, and Finance to set up optimal long-term partners.
