Field Sales Representative

Job type: Full Time · Department: Sales Operations · Work type: On-Site · USD 70,000-80,000 / two weeks

El Segundo, California, United States

The Role

We're looking for a motivated and personable Junior Sales Representative to be the face of Seremoni Grade Fish in the field. You'll work door to door alongside our distribution partners, visiting professional kitchens and building relationships directly with chefs. Your goal is to introduce them to the Seremoni Grade difference, drive trial and adoption, and grow our presence across specific territories.

What You'll Do

Field Sales & Chef Engagement

  • Conduct daily door-to-door visits to restaurants, hotels, private clubs, and catering operations within your assigned territory.

  • Educate chefs and kitchen teams on Seremoni Grade process, its impact on product quality, and the Seremoni Grade difference.

  • Conduct product tastings, demonstrations, sampling and leave-behinds to drive trial.

  • Convert new accounts and nurture existing relationships to increase order frequency and volume.

Distributor Collaboration

  • Work closely with assigned distribution partners to coordinate sales routes, product availability, and delivery logistics.

  • Ride along with distributor sales reps to jointly call on accounts and strengthen the partnership at street level.

  • Relay chef feedback, demand signals, and competitive insights back to both Seremoni and distributor teams.

  • Ensure distributor reps are confident and knowledgeable when representing Seremoni products independently.

Pipeline & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of all visits, conversations, and opportunities in the CRM.

  • Track progress against weekly and monthly targets for new account openings, tastings completed, and revenue generated.

  • Provide regular field reports on market trends, competitive activity, and product feedback.

Who You Are

  • You're energetic, resilient, and genuinely enjoy meeting new people. Rejection doesn't slow you down, it fuels you.

  • You have a passion for food, cooking, or the culinary industry. Familiarity with restaurant kitchens or the chef community is a strong plus.

  • You're a clear communicator who can speak credibly about product quality without being pushy.

  • You're organized and self-directed; you can plan your own routes, manage your time, and hit targets without constant supervision.

  • You're a team player who works well with distribution partners and internal colleagues alike.

Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of experience in sales, hospitality, food service, or a customer-facing role.

  • Comfortable with a high-activity, field-based role that involves significant daily travel within your territory.

  • Basic proficiency with CRM tools and reporting (training provided).

  • Interest in or knowledge of seafood, Japanese culinary traditions, or premium food products is a bonus.
