Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled D365 Business Central Technical Consultant / Developer with strong hands-on experience in AL development, customization, integrations, and ERP migration activities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, customizing, and extending D365 Business Central solutions using AL language and extension-based architecture.

The ideal candidate should have a strong technical mindset with a basic understanding of Finance and operational business processes within Business Central. You should be able to work independently in a fast-paced technical environment and collaborate with functional consultants and stakeholders to convert business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Skills & Qualification

  • Strong hands-on experience with D365 Business Central / Dynamics NAV technical development.

  • Good knowledge of AL language, extensions, events, APIs, and customization patterns.

  • Experience with Business Central SaaS and On-Prem environments.

  • Experience with data migration, upgrade projects, and integration development.

  • Knowledge of SQL, REST APIs, OData, Azure services, and Power Platform integrations.

  • Experience with GitHub, Azure DevOps, source control, and deployment pipelines.

  • Understanding of RDLC reporting and document customization.

  • Basic functional understanding of Finance, Procurement, Sales, and Inventory processes.

  • Good debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with API-led integrations, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Power Automate.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Storage, Cosmos DB, and Azure Active Directory.

  • Understanding of Power Platform technologies, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.

  • Ability to design and implement custom modules, APIs, integrations, workflows, and automation solutions.

  • Experience with Business Central upgrade and ERP migration projects from legacy systems or other ERPs.

  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, optimize performance, and support deployment activities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, customize, and extend D365 Business Central solutions using AL language and extension-based architecture, following Microsoft best practices for extension development, source control, CI/CD, and environment management.

  • Design and implement custom modules, APIs, integrations, workflows, and automation solutions, collaborating with functional consultants and stakeholders to convert business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

  • Work on Business Central upgrade and ERP migration projects from legacy systems or other ERPs, performing data migration activities including mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.

  • Develop and customize reports, RDLC layouts, document formats, and interfaces, understanding the importance of RDLC reporting and document customization in ensuring seamless business operations.

  • Work with APIs, web services, Power Platform, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and external integrations, leveraging knowledge of SQL, REST APIs, OData, Azure services, and Power Platform integrations to ensure efficient data exchange and processing.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues, optimize performance, and support deployment activities, utilizing good debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills to resolve complex technical problems.

  • Collaborate with functional consultants and stakeholders to convert business requirements into scalable technical solutions, ensuring that business needs are met while maintaining system integrity and performance.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to other team members, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to complete their tasks.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central features and technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve the delivery of solutions.

Preferred Certifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate (MB-800)

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) - good to have

  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals (PL-900) - good to have

  • Any Dynamics NAV / Business Central technical or development certifications will be an added advantage

Preferred Profile

  • Strong technical mindset with implementation and customization experience.

  • Experience working on migration, implementation, or support projects.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced technical environment.

  • Interest in newer Microsoft technologies such as AI, Copilot, Power Platform, and cloud integrations.

  • Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git.

  • Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
