As the Regional Compliance Lead, you will initiate transformation by bridging the gap between regulatory architecture, commercial growth, and frontier technology across the Group.

As a compliance lead for our - Hong Kong business unit, you act as the Person In Charge (PIC) for compliance and AML/CFT and will own and manage the HK regulatory risk.

What you'll work on

1. Regional Compliance Lead 

  • Own the integration of compliance across Product, UX, Engineering, Marketing and Operations, ensuring regulatory requirements are embedded by design into products, processes and customer journeys, while balancing regulatory outcomes with business agility and customer experience.

  • Drive, oversee and manage Group-level internal audits, remediation strategies, and resolutions.

  • Drive new business initiatives and act as Compliance Person-in-charge for product lines.

  • Partner closely with the Group CCRO to strategize and deliver on the Compliance Plan ensuring group-wide governance frameworks and regulatory insights are communicated with clarity, transparency and strategic alignment.

  • Responsible for Management, Board and Audit Committee reporting outcomes and presentations.

  • Lead local compliance leads using a coaching approach to deliver on business outcomes, new business ideas/strategic changes and, operational standards. 

2. Hong Kong Compliance Lead 

  • Manage the Compliance function for the Fund Management Company in Hong Kong, including overseeing the Type 1, Type 4 and Type 9 regulated activities.

  • Serve as the Manager-in-Charge for the Compliance function in Hong Kong and acting as the Firm's Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and work closely with the local Country Manager and local business teams. DCM.

  • Responsible for managing the compliance risks in HK, implement and execute the compliance plan and monitoring programs, provide advisory, review, and support on all regulatory, policy, and financial crime matters in Hong Kong.

  • Lead and support business on all regulatory matters and requirements for new product launches, marketing and distribution and new initiatives taken in Hong Kong.

  • Be the key liaison offer for all regulatory and licensing matters.

3. Compliance AI Transformation & Workflow re-design

  • Lead the firm’s ambition to deliver automated digital advisory outcomes.

  • Strategize and lead regulatory conversations across the Group in this regard.

  • Define, champion, and execute compliance AI transformation strategy.

  • Responsible for re-designing the second-line function using agentic AI components, identifying operational friction points and deploying agentic tools to compliance and risk management processes.

  • Embed a robust culture of compliance across the organization by evolving our frameworks into an automated, systematic control architecture—leveraging regulatory knowledge, coaching, audit expectations and understanding of AI risks to ensure compliance processes run natively within our technology stack.

Who are we looking for

  • 10- 12 years in compliance domains with the financial services industry. Asset management, brokerage, private bank, insurance and/or fintech background would be an advantage.

  • You excel at operating in a fast paced fintech environment by designing clean, scalable, and structured workflows.

  • Comfortable making calculated, risk-based judgment calls with 80% information rather than stalling projects in search of 100% certainty.

  • You have a curiosity about software architecture, automation, and data flows. You can hold your own in an engineering room and enjoy finding ways to improve processes and tools for scale and efficiency.

  • Experienced in navigating multi-jurisdictional landscapes and managing interactions with senior leadership, external legal counsels, and Tier-1 regulatory bodies (e.g., SFC, MAS).
