About the role: 

We’re launching a new AI team at Traild to build AI-first products and foundational platform capabilities from the ground up. This is a founding engineering role in our Tel Aviv office, with ownership and influence from day one. 

You’ll design and build foundational systems that power the next generation of Traild’s platform, working on high-impact, customer-facing products and helping set the technical bar for the team. 

What you’ll do: 

• Own features end to end - take ideas from early concept through production. You won’t just write code, you’ll ship real products, iterate quickly, and see the impact of your work with customers. 

• Think beyond the task -Take initiative, understand the broader context, and help drive product and technical decisions. This is not a ticket-driven role. 

• Build AI-powered systems- Use AI where it meaningfully improves product quality, development velocity, or user experience, both in what we ship and how we build. 

• Backend-focused, full-stack mindset- Your core focus will be backend systems, but you’re comfortable working across APIs, data, infrastructure, and DevOps when needed. 

• Design for scale - Build backend services that are reliable, maintainable, and designed to grow with the platform. 

What you will bring: 

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong backend focus 

• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent hands-on experience 

• A builder’s mindset, with experience taking products from idea to production 

• Comfort working across the stack when needed, from APIs and workflows to infrastructure 

• Production experience with Python (AI / data-heavy systems) and Go (high-performance services) 

• An AI-first approach, with a natural instinct for where automation and AI create leverage 

• A high bar for quality and a willingness to challenge yourself and the team 

• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in small, senior teams 

Bonus Points:  

• Deep experience on GCP (Vertex AI, BigQuery, Cloud Run, etc.) 

• Built LLM-powered products beyond simple chatbots — agents, workflows, or autonomous systems 

• Background in fintech, payments, or other high-stakes, complex domains
