About the role:
Want to be part of our exciting growth journey? We are launching a new Financial Infrastructure team at Traild to build the next generation of our payments and platform capabilities from the ground up. We're looking for a domain-savvy Product Manager to lead the discovery and delivery of these critical new product capabilities.
Reporting to the VP of Product, you will be the voice of the customer within this new team — translating complex payments and financial workflows into clear, impactful product decisions. You don't need to be a payments engineer, but you must understand what it takes to build financial infrastructure that businesses can trust.
This team will own a critical business channel of the company, making this an opportunity to shape core infrastructure that directly impacts Traild's growth and product capabilities.
What you'll do:
0-to-1 discovery – Lead product discovery for new financial infrastructure capabilities including real-time payments, payment guarantees, and issuing. Interview customers and stakeholders to understand exactly where current processes break down.
Own the product roadmap – Define and drive the roadmap from concept to commercialization. You will be rolling your sleeves up to ensure we ship value quickly — this is not a ticket-writing role.
Translate domain to product – Work with engineering to define what needs to be built and why. Translate financial workflows and payments complexity into precise, actionable product requirements.
Subject matter expertise – Serve as the internal expert on payments infrastructure, financial workflows, and compliance requirements. Ensure products don't just look good — they solve real problems for finance teams.
Drive cross-functional alignment – Collaborate across engineering, design, sales, and customer success to ensure new capabilities integrate seamlessly with Traild's broader AP platform.
Leverage AI in your workflow – Use modern AI tools to move faster, synthesise research, and improve the quality and speed of product decisions.
What you will bring:
Proven experience owning and shipping complex, technical products in a fast-moving environment.
Domain authority – 3+ years of experience in fintech, payments, ERP, or accounting software products.
Comfortable with ambiguity — these are new products, the roadmap isn't written yet, and you're energised by 0→1 challenges, not intimidated by them.
Strong analytical and prioritisation skills — you make decisions with data, not just instinct.
The ability to simplify complex financial concepts for engineers and complex technical concepts for customers and stakeholders.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across engineering, design, sales, and global teams.
