The Role: Want to be a part of our exciting growth journey?

We’re looking for a Finance Manager to join our Finance team at a defining moment in Traild’s journey. This is a hands-on, high‑ownership role — not a people manager sitting above the work, but someone who thrives in the detail, takes pride in getting things right, and has the ambition and capability to grow into broader leadership as the team scales.

We’re open to candidates currently operating at Senior Financial Accountant level who are ready to step up and prove themselves in a Finance Manager capacity.

Reporting to the Senior Financial Controller, you’ll own the full accounting function end‑to‑end — from month‑end close and financial reporting through to compliance, cash flow, AR, and transactional operations. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring financial quality across the business, uplifting the capability of those around you, and driving efficiency in how the finance function operates.

This role is suited to someone who genuinely cares about accuracy and compliance — not because they’re told to, but because they understand strong financial foundations enable scale, speed, and better decision‑making. You’re equally comfortable rolling up your sleeves and contributing strategically.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the month-end close, completing journals and reconciliations and delivering accurate outputs for Senior Financial Controller review

  • Prepare management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) with supporting schedules and insightful variance commentary

  • Review and sign off team outputs, proactively identifying and investigating unusual account movements

  • Ensure accurate application of AASB/IFRS and support year-end financial statements and external audits

  • Own statutory compliance across all entities, including tax workpapers and Traild’s revenue recognition policy

  • Oversee transactional finance operations (AR, billing, payments, payroll), maintaining strong controls and timely execution

  • Prepare weekly cash reporting and a rolling 13‑week cash flow forecast, highlighting cash risks and opportunities

  • Own core finance systems and tooling, supporting strong data integrity, scalable process improvement, and playing a key role in a planned ERP implementation.

  • Continuously improve finance processes, including leveraging AI, and uplift team capability through review, knowledge sharing, and coaching

Who You Are:

You’re a CA or CPA qualified finance professional with at least 5 years’ experience in a hands-on accounting role, ideally in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment. You have a strong track record of delivering accurate, timely, high‑quality financial reporting — and you care deeply about getting the details right.

  • Strong technical accounting skills, with confidence across AASB/IFRS, month-end close, and statutory compliance

  • Experience across transactional finance operations including AR, billing, payments, and payroll

  • Commercially minded — able to move beyond the numbers to provide clear, insightful variance analysis

  • Comfortable managing multiple deadlines simultaneously without compromising accuracy or quality

  • A natural improver — you identify inefficiencies and take ownership of fixing them, including through technology and AI tools

  • A collaborative team player who uplifts others through knowledge sharing and review

  • Thrives in a scale-up environment, with a growth mindset, hands-on approach, and high adaptability.

The Perks of Working at Traild

  • Global team: we are growing across APAC, NA and EMEA and have team all across the world.

  • We are growing at an exponential rate, this is an opportunity to get involved with a true rocketship with all the excitement and opportunities that comes with it

  • Our team genuinely loves working at Traild: We scored a 78 on our recent 2026 eNPS survey.
