About the Role: 

Uniqode is looking for a Senior Product Designer who can join us to champion the customer-centric mindset. You are someone who has deep empathy for users, understands how to design for a product:: market:: user fitment, and is keen to experiment with design explorations. It is also important to be the ‘voice of the user’ and ready to tear apart an idea if it does not address the pain points of the target users.

What we are looking for in our Senior Product Designer:

• Ability to convert a product idea into a workflow and design the end-to-end journey 

• Zoom in to micro-interactions or user jobs/tasks to guide other designers starting out in the team and zoom out to spar the workflows & user journeys with stakeholders across Design, Product Management, Engineering, Customer Success, Research, et al. 

• Break down a user journey into stories, and use cases and prototype them to help all stakeholders be on the same page

• Partner with Content designers to absorb Research inputs, Customer  signals, and signals from the market to redesign existing journeys to make them easy for the user 

• Understanding of design best practices, methodologies, and patterns to bring them into the design at hand 

• Drive design discovery sessions, partner for interviewing users, and be able to draw meaningful insights 

• Contribute and grow Uniqode’s design system 

What we expect from you:

• Experience of minimum 5-8 years, preferably with a varied experience across various digital products. 

• Good knowledge of design tools, an understanding of Engineering stacks, and knowledge of Product life cycle 

• Experience designing for mobile products and across platforms 

• Open to feedback and quick turnaround to address the gaps 

• Eye for good design and zeal to craft the best experiences 

• Understanding of how an experience can be broken down into iterative and incremental improvements for the end user 

• Think with hands, show, share, and tell what an experience should be 

• Experience talking to customers / real users and gathering feedback 

• High degree of drive and ownership of the design craft 

• Good management and triaging skills to manage and handle requests across products and platforms 

• Experience guiding and mentoring young designers on the team 

• Portfolio and work samples showcasing your craft, highlighting your approach to a problem, the role you played, the value you offered to the user, and how your work has evolved over the years.
