About Uptime Crew
Uptime Crew multiplies technology talent potential to power today's leading enterprises. We remove barriers for diverse early-career technologists by delivering elite, immersive, outcome-based training that prepares them for long, rewarding careers.
We are seeking an experienced Technical Trainer to lead our Semiconductor Field Service Engineer/Technician program. The program covers:
Semiconductor industry and facility fundamentals, including uptime and reliability
Cleanroom operations and wafer handling
Safety and quality: lockout/tagout, emergency procedures, and hazard awareness
Fab systems, semiconductor manufacturing processes, and integrated circuit fundamentals
Vacuum and cryogenic systems
Operations and maintenance (O&M): inspections, SOPs, and structured troubleshooting
If you are a seasoned practitioner who loves mentorship, teaching, and transforming learners into job-ready technicians and field service engineers, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
Learners, whether technicians or field service engineers, will complete a structured curriculum through our online learning platform and live virtual training sessions. You will provide hands-on technical guidance, feedback, mentorship, and real-world industry insight throughout the training, helping learners translate technical concepts into practical, job-ready skills and build the confidence needed to succeed on the job.
This role is ideal for a seasoned semiconductor field service engineer, fab technician, or facilities professional with a strong safety background who enjoys teaching and mentoring others and is looking for a remote opportunity to both deliver training and help refine the curriculum behind it. Hands-on experience in electrical, HVAC and mechanical, or plumbing and fire protection systems is a plus, but it is not required.
Key Responsibilities
Guide learner development throughout the program, monitoring progress and helping ensure learners are prepared to succeed in the workplace.
Help refine curriculum and course content in partnership with the Uptime Crew training team.
Deliver live virtual instruction on:
Semiconductor industry and facility fundamentals
Cleanroom operations and wafer handling
Safety and quality principles, including PPE, arc flash, lockout/tagout, and Stop Work practices
Semiconductor manufacturing processes and integrated circuit fundamentals
Vacuum and cryogenic systems
Equipment rounds, inspections, and maintenance practices
Reading and interpreting schematics and specifications
Structured troubleshooting and O&M scenarios
Review assignments, assessments, and presentations; provide detailed, actionable feedback.
Answer learner questions and provide technical support through Teams, live sessions, and one-on-one calls as needed.
Provide technical guidance, industry best practices, and professional mentorship throughout the program.
Bring real-world industry experience into the classroom by sharing current workflows, tools, standards, and workplace expectations.
Partner with the Uptime Crew training team by sharing observations and feedback that help strengthen the curriculum and continuously improve the learner experience.
