The Opportunity: Solving the "Foundational" Problem

Global Payroll is the hardest problem in HR Tech. It is a tangled web of local tax laws, statutory filings, varying banking rails, and strict compliance deadlines.

We are looking for a Principal Product Manager to lead a 0-to-1 initiative within our Global Payroll vertical. You will not be maintaining a legacy system; you will be architecting the foundational rails of a new payroll engine designed to scale across dozens of countries simultaneously.

You will own the "gross-to-net" logic, the compliance framework, and the core infrastructure that ensures thousands of employees around the world get paid correctly and on time, every time. This is a high-impact role for a creative problem-solver with a deep customer obsession and a strong bias for action. You will be a champion for the user, a strategic thinker, and a hands-on executor.

What You Will Do-

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap: Own the product roadmap for payroll compliance, translating business goals and customer needs into a clear, compelling vision.

  • Customer-Centric Development: Immerse yourself in the world of our users (employers and employees). Conduct user research, analyze data, and synthesize insights to identify pain points and opportunities.

  • Feature Definition & Prioritization: Write detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Prioritize the backlog to ensure the team is always working on the most impactful features.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, design, legal, and operations to bring products to market. Act as a clear communicator, aligning stakeholders and ensuring a shared understanding of the product vision.

  • Execution & Delivery: Work in an agile environment, leading the product development lifecycle from ideation to launch and post-launch analysis.

  • Data-Driven Decisions: Define and analyze metrics to measure the success of your products. Use data to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.

  • Compliance & Regulation: Stay abreast of global payroll regulations and industry trends. Translate complex legal and compliance requirements into user-friendly product solutions.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • 12+ years of Product Management experience, with at least 5+ years in Fintech, Payroll, or HR Tech.

  • Proven 0-to-1 experience: You have launched a complex B2B product from scratch. You are comfortable starting with a blank sheet of paper.

  • Direct experience delivering core payroll functionalities and an understanding of the end-to-end payroll process.

  • Experience with complex backend systems. You are not afraid of APIs, data mapping, or integration logic.

  • Experience in building both employer and employee experiences is essential. You understand the unique needs of both personas.

  • A strong design thinker with the ability to approach problems from first principles. You are comfortable challenging assumptions and creating innovative solutions.

  • Deep customer obsession is in your DNA. You are a natural at understanding user needs and advocating for them.

  • A strong experiment mindset with a bias towards learning and iterating. You're not afraid to be wrong and you use data to validate hypotheses.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You can articulate complex ideas clearly and build consensus across teams.
