Multiplier is a leading global employment platform that enables companies to hire, onboard, and manage employees worldwide. We are expanding our legal team in the EMEA region and seeking an experienced Commercial Counsel to join our dynamic team, supporting our growth across multiple EMEA markets.

Position Summary

We are looking for a skilled Commercial Counsel with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification legal experience to join our team. This role will be crucial in supporting our EMEA commercial operations, focusing on high-volume commercial negotiations, drafting, and reviewing a variety of agreements. The successful candidate will be a key legal partner, building strong rapport with internal stakeholders to drive business while ensuring legal compliance and effective risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Commercial Contracts and Negotiation

    • Lead and execute commercial negotiations for customer contracts and strategic partnerships across the EMEA region, during EMEA working hours.

    • Draft, review, and negotiate Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).

    • Maintain and update contract templates and standard terms for regional consistency and efficiency.

  2. Stakeholder Partnership

    • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with critical internal business partners, Sales, Customer Success, and Procurement teams, among others.

    • Provide prompt, practical, and commercially-minded legal advice to internal clients on day-to-day commercial matters.

    • Support cross-functional business initiatives with legal guidance, documentation, and training.

  3. Legal Advisory and Risk Management

    • Identify, assess, and advise on legal risks in business transactions, proposing pragmatic mitigation strategies tailored for the EMEA environment.

    • Ensure all contract terms comply with applicable local and regional laws and regulations.

    • Assist in developing, updating, and enforcing company policies and procedures relevant to commercial activities in EMEA.

Required Qualifications

  1. Education and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution.

    • Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in commercial law, preferably in a fast-paced technology or global services company.

    • Proven experience in leading contract drafting, review, and high-stakes commercial negotiation.

    • Experience working with or supporting business operations across multiple EMEA jurisdictions is highly desirable.

  2. Legal Knowledge

    • Strong understanding of international contract law and commercial regulations.

    • Familiarity with various technology agreements, service agreements, and licensing models.

    • Knowledge of data protection and privacy laws relevant to the EMEA region.

  3. Skills and Competencies

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and professionally to business teams.

    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

    • High level of attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

    • Ability to work independently and as a proactive, collaborative member of a global legal team.

    • Must be willing to work during EMEA working hours.
