About the Role

Vidyard is looking for a Director, Revenue Operations to own our Revenue Operations function and set the strategic direction for how our sales, marketing, customer success, and finance teams align and move fast together. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, you will define the RevOps roadmap, act as a trusted strategic advisor to GTM and executive leadership, and be accountable for the systems, processes, and analytics that power revenue performance across the business.

This role blends strategic ownership with hands-on leadership. You'll set the vision for revenue operations at Vidyard, build and develop the team responsible for executing it, and stay close enough to the details to guide forecasting methodology, pressure-test pipeline data, and unblock the systems GTM teams rely on daily. You're someone who has led a RevOps function before, is comfortable owning outcomes with a lean team, and can flex between boardroom strategy and operational execution.

This is a remote role open to candidates located in Canada.

About the Team

Our Revenue Operations team is small and high-leverage, with two team members covering forecasting/analytics and systems/automation across the GTM org. You'll lead and grow this team, working closely with sales, marketing, customer success, and finance leadership to keep revenue operations running smoothly - and scaling the function as the business grows.

What You’ll Work On

Revenue Strategy, Intelligence & Reporting

- Serve as the executive-level authority on revenue team performance - own the narrative behind our KPIs and act as a trusted strategic advisor to the CRO, COO, and broader leadership team

- Own unified revenue reporting end-to-end, including executive and board-level reporting, ensuring leadership always has the data needed to make high-stakes decisions

- Direct ad hoc analytical deep dives (pipeline analysis, win-loss, segmentation), translating findings into strategic recommendations and owning execution against them

Forecasting & Planning

- Own forecasting accuracy and rigor at the company level, including new business, renewals, and account growth. Lead the weekly forecasting cadence and quarterly bottom-up planning, setting the standard for rigor across the org

- Drive operational planning for marketing, sales, and post-sales: pipeline targets, quota target assignment, incentive design, and headcount planning, partnering directly with Finance on budget and capacity decisions

- Own territory strategy, design, balancing, distribution, and ongoing management across AE, AM, and CS teams

Systems & Automation

- Own the GTM tech stack strategy alongside the GTM Systems Architect, setting priorities and investment decisions

- Own and evolve the GTM AI & Automation Roadmap across three pillars: pipeline generation, AE/AM productivity, and management efficiency - including signal-based outreach and pipeline generation experiments

- Partner with GTM leaders to identify and prioritize process and technology investments that increase insight and productivity org-wide

Deal & Partner Operations

- Own final escalation authority for complex quoting and deal support decisions, ensuring routine requests are handled through self-serve resources so your team's time goes to the highest-leverage problems

- Oversee partner and reseller operations strategy, including deal registration integrity and performance tracking of partnership initiatives

Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership

- Lead, coach, and grow your Revenue Operations team, developing their capabilities and scaling the team as the function matures

- Serve as the connective tissue between Sales, Marketing, CX, Finance, and Partnerships - translating each function's needs into systems and process changes at an organizational level

- Act as a strategic thought partner to the CRO, COO, and other GTM leaders, diagnosing what's driving performance company-wide and shaping the roadmap to improve it

- Represent Revenue Operations in executive and board-level forums, communicating performance, risk, and strategy with clarity and confidence

What We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience in Revenue or Sales Operations, ideally within a SaaS or PLG company, including experience leading and developing a team

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field

  • A track record of setting RevOps strategy and translating it into operational execution - equally comfortable building a forecast model yourself as setting the multi-quarter roadmap

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn messy data into clear, board-ready recommendations

  • Deep proficiency with CRM and GTM tech stacks, with experience making build-vs-buy and investment decisions

  • Sound judgment on deal and contract terms, with the confidence and authority to make final approval calls independently

  • Excellent executive communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functionally across sales, marketing, customer success, and finance

Our Tech Stack
You’ll work with technologies like:

  • Salesforce

  • Gong

  • Salesloft
