About the Role

Vidyard is seeking an AI Marketing Operations Manager to join our Demand Generation team, reporting to our Director, Growth and Demand Generation. This is an individual contributor role for someone who builds first and administers second: you'll own the signal-based campaign and lifecycle automation that powers both our PLG and SLG motions, and you'll do it by diagnosing where a process breaks down, then building the automation, agent, or workflow that fixes it, not by waiting for a ticket to configure a form.

You'll work across our data warehouse, marketing automation platform (Marketo today, actively evaluating HubSpot), Salesforce, and Clay to turn product usage and account signals into triggered plays that reach the right person at the right moment. AI isn't a layer you bolt onto this work, it's how you do the work: orchestrating agents to handle multi-step campaign logic, using AI to QA and monitor automations at scale, and finding the workflows that shouldn't be built by hand anymore.

We care far less about how many years you've spent inside one platform's admin console than about what you've actually built. If you've used modern automation and orchestration tools (Clay, n8n, Zapier, Tray, Gumloop, Cursor, Claude, or similar) to solve a real GTM problem, that experience matters more to us than a certification.

This is a remote-first role open to candidates located in Canada.

About the Team

Our Demand Generation team sits under the Marketing Department, with roles across Product Marketing, Paid Demand Generation, Campaign Management, Creative, and BDRs. Together, we're responsible for driving qualified pipeline and revenue across both our product-led and sales-led growth motions; from building awareness and demand at the top of the funnel to nurturing, qualifying, and converting engaged prospects into sales-ready opportunities.

We do this through integrated, multi-channel campaigns spanning paid media, lifecycle email and nurture programs, webinars and events, and content, grounded in strong positioning from product marketing, sharp creative execution, hands-on outbound from our BDR team, and the marketing operations rigor to route, score, and report on performance so we can continuously optimize what's working.

What You’ll Work On

Campaign & lifecycle automation

  • Lead design and execution of complex, multi-touch nurture and lifecycle programs across both PLG and SLG motions: email, webinars, online ads, content syndication, and events, all built on triggers tied to buyer persona, motion, and journey stage.

  • Build and manage lead scoring models and engagement nurture logic, and be the person who knows exactly why a lead moved from one stage to the next.

  • Manage database health, forms, lists, and system assets as the foundation those campaigns run on, not as the job itself.

AI agent orchestration & signal-based automation

  • Design and build AI-driven automation that turns product usage and enriched account data into triggered plays, orchestrating multi-step workflows across the data warehouse, marketing automation platform, and Clay rather than stitching together one-off point integrations.

  • Use AI agents to monitor campaign and lifecycle automations in production: catching breakages, flagging anomalies, and proposing fixes before they show up as a data quality problem downstream.

  • Own data enrichment strategy and execution using Clay to keep contact and account records complete and properly segmented to support scoring, routing, and outreach.

Reporting, analytics & measurement

  • Implement and maintain tracking for marketing campaigns, including UTM governance and lead source attribution.

  • Build and maintain dashboards covering campaign performance, funnel and pipeline metrics, and program ROI, delivering data-driven insights that drive real decisions, not just reporting for its own sake.

Lead routing & data integrity

  • Maintain lead capture, routing, and scoring frameworks that ensure a clean handoff to Sales across both PLG and SLG paths.

  • Ensure marketing program data flows accurately into Salesforce. Basic CRM fluency is assumed; deep Salesforce administration is not the focus of this role.

  • Maintain data governance practices for GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant privacy requirements as they apply to marketing systems.

What We’re Looking For

  • You've spent real time using AI to diagnose problems, analyze what's actually happening in a broken workflow, and build the automation that fixes it, not just using AI to write faster emails. You're a builder who's comfortable moving between a marketing automation platform, a CRM, an enrichment tool, and an AI agent framework in the same afternoon.

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing automation, marketing operations, or GTM systems at a technology company. We're evaluating for depth of hands-on building, not years spent as a specialist in one platform.

  • Deep, demonstrated experience using AI to diagnose operational problems and build real automations, not prompt-and-forget usage. You have opinions about where AI earns its place in a GTM workflow and where it doesn't.

  • Comfortable with modern automation and orchestration tools (Clay, Zapier, Tray, n8n, Gumloop, or similar) and able to pick up new ones fast. We are looking for someone who thinks in systems and logic, not someone anchored to one platform's admin console.

  • Strong campaign and lifecycle logic chops: lead scoring, nurture design, journey mapping by persona and motion.

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce or a comparable CRM, SQL, and API/webhook concepts well enough to diagnose and fix a broken data flow yourself before escalating it.

  • Comfortable owning dashboards and reporting on funnel and pipeline performance, including UTM governance and lead source tracking.

  • Strong communicator who can translate technical workflow logic into terms Sales, RevOps, and Product can act on.

  • Working knowledge of data privacy requirements (GDPR, CCPA) as they apply to marketing databases.
