Job Description
Role & Responsibilities
Lead and manage a high-performing frontend engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Define and drive the technical vision and roadmap for frontend development, ensuring alignment with company objectives and product strategy.
Recruit, mentor, and develop frontend engineers, providing regular feedback, career guidance, and growth opportunities.
Own delivery of complex web applications using ReactJS and modern frontend technologies, ensuring projects are delivered on time and with high quality.
Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, Backend Engineers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Establish and enforce engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and documentation standards.
Drive architectural decisions for the frontend codebase, ensuring maintainability, scalability, and performance optimization.
Remove blockers and create an environment where engineers can do their best work, balancing technical debt with feature development.
Contribute hands-on to critical projects when needed, staying connected to the codebase and technical challenges.
Stay current with emerging frontend technologies and industry trends, evaluating and adopting tools that improve team productivity and product quality.
Partner with leadership to define team structure, headcount planning, and resource allocation as the organization scales.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
8+ years of experience in frontend development with a strong foundation in ReactJS, Redux, TypeScript, and modern web technologies.
3+ years of experience in engineering management, leading and scaling frontend teams.
Proven track record of building, mentoring, and retaining high-performing engineering teams.
Deep understanding of web development concepts,s including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive design, and web performance optimization.
Experience with modern frontend tooling and ecosystem (Webpack, Babel, Vite, testing frameworks like Jest/React Testing Library).
Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience delivering software in fast-paced, iterative environments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and influence without authority.
Experience with hiring processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding engineering talent.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution, switching between leadership and hands-on contribution as needed.
Bonus: Experience in B2B SaaS, ecommerce platforms, or enterprise software development.
