Job Description

Role & Responsibilities

•  Lead and manage a high-performing frontend engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

•  Define and drive the technical vision and roadmap for frontend development, ensuring alignment with company objectives and product strategy.

•  Recruit, mentor, and develop frontend engineers, providing regular feedback, career guidance, and growth opportunities.

•  Own delivery of complex web applications using ReactJS and modern frontend technologies, ensuring projects are delivered on time and with high quality.

•  Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, Backend Engineers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

•  Establish and enforce engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and documentation standards.

•  Drive architectural decisions for the frontend codebase, ensuring maintainability, scalability, and performance optimization.

•  Remove blockers and create an environment where engineers can do their best work, balancing technical debt with feature development.

•  Contribute hands-on to critical projects when needed, staying connected to the codebase and technical challenges.

•  Stay current with emerging frontend technologies and industry trends, evaluating and adopting tools that improve team productivity and product quality.

•  Partner with leadership to define team structure, headcount planning, and resource allocation as the organization scales.

 Requirements

•  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

•  8+ years of experience in frontend development with a strong foundation in ReactJS, Redux, TypeScript, and modern web technologies.

•  3+ years of experience in engineering management, leading and scaling frontend teams.

•  Proven track record of building, mentoring, and retaining high-performing engineering teams.

•  Deep understanding of web development concepts,s including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive design, and web performance optimization.

•  Experience with modern frontend tooling and ecosystem (Webpack, Babel, Vite, testing frameworks like Jest/React Testing Library).

•  Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience delivering software in fast-paced, iterative environments.

•  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and influence without authority.

•  Experience with hiring processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding engineering talent.

•  Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution, switching between leadership and hands-on contribution as needed.

•  Bonus: Experience in B2B SaaS, ecommerce platforms, or enterprise software development.
