Founder's Office, Roma - Partnerships

Job type: Full Time · Department: Founder's Office · Work type: On-Site

Bengaluru, Karnataka, India

We're Building the Future of Finance. Come Help Us Do It Right.

The global financial system is being rewired. Stablecoins and tokenised assets are no longer experimental — they're becoming the default infrastructure for enterprise payments, treasury, and settlement. Frameworks like MiCA in Europe and advancing stablecoin legislation in the US confirm what's already happening on the ground: digital money rails are going mainstream.

Roma sits at this inflection point, building the default financial infrastructure platform that enterprises trust with their most critical workflows: real-time global payments, stablecoin orchestration, and treasury management across fiat and digital assets.

And we're hiring the person who will own the partnerships that define Roma's ecosystem for the next decade.

About Roma

Founded in 2022 by Amit Jain (IIT Delhi, Stanford, Managing Director at Sequoia Capital, Head of Asia Pacific at Uber), Roma is backed by a $22M seed round from Sequoia Capital, Dara Khosrowshahi (CEO, Uber), Tony Xu (CEO, DoorDash), and other global leaders.

We operate at the intersection of technology, regulation, and global financial systems — where the hardest, most meaningful problems live. Our platform enables enterprises to accept, store, convert, and pay using stablecoin infrastructure; run global banking operations with virtual dollar accounts; execute end-to-end global fiat payments across 90+ currencies; and invest in traditional treasury and digital assets with a single source of truth across entities.

We're already trusted by Binance, DoorDash, Ontop, Solana Foundation, and Noon — and we're just getting started.

Role

We are looking for a driven, commercially sharp partnerships leader to own Roma's ecosystem strategy and build the partner network that accelerates our growth globally. You will identify, structure, and close strategic partnerships across fintech platforms, payment infrastructure providers, blockchain ecosystems, and enterprise technology players.

This is a builder role. You will define the strategy, run the deals end-to-end, and work hand-in-hand with Product and Engineering to ensure every partnership translates into real customer value

What You'll Do

  • Define and drive Roma’s global ecosystem and partnership strategy, identifying key blockchain, fintech, and payments infrastructure partners aligned with Roma’s product and commercial goals.

  • Build and manage a high-quality pipeline of partnership opportunities, sourcing and prioritising integrations that create clear commercial impact.

  • Lead end-to-end partnership execution, from initial engagement and evaluation to commercial negotiations, agreement structuring, and successful go-live.

  • Structure and negotiate commercial terms, incentive frameworks, and long-term strategic partnerships with ecosystem players, protocols, and enterprise partners.

  • Work closely with Product and Engineering to scope, prioritise, and deliver integrations, ensuring external commitments translate into internal execution.

  • Maintain clear operating visibility on partnership progress, integration status, and partner performance for leadership.

  • Build and nurture deep, long-term relationships with strategic partners, positioning Roma as a trusted infrastructure collaborator.

  • Monitor post-launch partner performance and joint KPIs, identifying opportunities to expand partnerships and drive further value.

  • Stay closely connected to customer needs, regulatory shifts, and ecosystem developments, feeding these insights back into Roma’s product and GTM strategy.

What We're Looking For

Must-Have

  • 6+ years of experience in fintech, crypto infrastructure, payments, or enterprise technology partnerships, with significant exposure to ecosystem development and strategic product collaborations.

  • Proven track record owning and closing complex, multi-party deals and driving them through to product and engineering execution.

  • Strong commercial instincts - the ability to structure deals, negotiate terms, and manage the full lifecycle of a partnership from sourcing to scale.

  • Technical fluency in how infrastructure products work; you don't need to write code, but you need to understand API-based integrations, stablecoin mechanics, and how blockchain ecosystems are structured.

  • Experience working directly with Product and Engineering to prioritise integrations and co-built initiatives.

  • Executive presence: you can engage credibly with founders, C-suite partners, and internal leadership with clarity and conviction.

Strong Advantage

  • Deep knowledge of blockchain architectures, token models, incentive structures, and compliance considerations.

  • Entrepreneur at heart: you understand what it means to build in a startup, not just work in one.

  • You thrive with ambiguity, move quickly, and know when to go deep versus when to keep moving.

  • Ability to balance long-term ecosystem positioning with short-term delivery needs.

Why Roma

High agency, real ownership: You'll work directly with the founder on deals that shape Roma's commercial trajectory. This isn't a support role — it's a builder role.

Work at the frontier: Stablecoins and tokenised assets are transitioning from emerging technology to the backbone of global financial infrastructure. You'll be selling at that inflection point.

Exceptional people: Our investors include Sequoia, the CEOs of Uber and DoorDash, and other global leaders. Our team brings experience from the world's best institutions, and they care about getting it right.

Freedom to think, question, and implement: We value transparency, meritocracy, and a strong work ethic. If you have a better idea, say so.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary and meaningful equity, with real upside as Roma scales. Comprehensive medical insurance for you, your spouse, and your children. A culture that celebrates wins, learns fast, and doesn't waste your time. Continuous learning and skill development. Great food, a comfortable office, and colleagues who are genuinely good to work with.
