About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated finance professional to join our team as a Finance Associate / Analyst. This is a broad, high-ownership role that sits at the intersection of financial planning & analysis, revenue operations, and financial control — it is not a pure accounting position.

Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will own monthly consolidated reporting, manage accounts receivable and payable cycles, support budgeting and variance analysis, and contribute to compliance and governance activities. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders and be expected to take full ownership of your workstreams, communicate findings clearly to leadership, and proactively identify opportunities to improve and automate financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own monthly consolidated forecasting, variance analysis, and cost reporting across business units.

  • Manage the end-to-end revenue cycle including invoicing, collections, and accounts receivable tracking.

  • Prepare  periodic liquidity and cost reports to give leadership timely visibility into financial positions.

  • Manage accounts payable, spend tracking, and vendor coordination — mapping expenditures to budgets and maintaining accurate records.

  • Conduct department-wise spend analysis and support the creation and maintenance of organizational budgets; perform monthly budget vs actual variance analysis.

  • Support MIS preparation, projected financials, and the transition to standardized financial reporting

  • Coordinating within teams to ensure data for financial reporting is provided accurately on a monthly basis.

  • Coordinate regulatory and compliance reporting, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.

  • Maintain a centralized and audit-ready contract and document repository across entities.

  • Serve as a key finance point of contact for internal and external audits, supporting audit readiness and timely responses.

  • Drive ad-hoc financial analyses and cost optimization initiatives; communicate findings and recommendations to senior leadership.

Qualifications & Skill Set Required:

  • CA (Chartered Accountant) or MBA Finance; an FP&A background is essential

  • 2–4 years of progressive finance experience in a finance operations or FP&A capacity.

  • Solid accounting knowledge including month-end close, GL reconciliations, accruals, and AP/AR principles.

  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort with financial modelling and MIS preparation; experience with FP&A or planning tools is a plus.

  • Strong analytical and communication skills — able to distill complex data into clear insights and present findings concisely to senior stakeholders.

  • High ownership mindset with the ability to independently manage multiple workstreams without close supervision.

Good to have:

  • Prior experience at fintech or payments companies; familiarity with transaction-level financial flows and related operational finance is a meaningful advantage.

  • Exposure to regulatory reporting or financial compliance in a licensed financial services environment.

  • Experience with reconciliation automation or financial dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.

  • Working knowledge of IFRS and experience contributing to standardized financial reporting frameworks.

  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships across functions and influence decisions through financial analysis.
