About the Role

Business Operations is where Roma's strategy meets reality. As part of the Founder's Office on Business Operations, you'll own how our business lines grow — shaping the product and fund-flow solutions our enterprise partners actually need, opening new corridors, rails, and partnerships, and making the commercial calls that decide where we scale next.

If you're looking to break into crypto, stablecoins, or cross-border fintech, this is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of product, commercial strategy, and global settlement — close enough to the founder to see how decisions get made, and trusted enough to make them yourself.

This is a role for someone who takes pride in building things properly, not just getting them shipped. We value initiative over hierarchy, and there's a clear path for you to own a business line and build your own team as we scale.

What You'll Do

• Sit with enterprise partners (exchanges, banks, PSPs, fintechs) to understand what they're actually trying to solve, and design the fund flows, settlement structures, and commercial models that get them there

• Spot inefficiencies in platform liquidity across exchanges, wallets, and banking rails, and identify opportunities to optimise fund positioning and reduce operational friction

• Translate partner and market needs into clear product requirements, and work with product and engineering to shape and prioritise the roadmap

• Investigate and resolve transaction anomalies, failed settlements, and operational blockers, coordinating closely with global banking and crypto exchange partners

• Turn transaction data into decisions — find where volume, conversion, or margin is leaking, size the opportunity, and drive the fix through the right team

• Monitor live transactions, market activity, client balances, and fund flows across multiple exchanges and wallets — staying vigilant on platform performance and transaction execution

• Work with Compliance, Legal, and Risk to get new products and geographies live within the regulatory frameworks we operate under

• Build the playbooks, tooling, and processes that let a business line scale without you sitting in the middle of every decision

• Stay ahead of how the stablecoin, payments, and digital asset landscape is shifting — and bring back the opportunities worth acting on

What We're Looking For

Must-Have

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in business operations, fintech operations, trading, money management, or financial services — ideally with exposure to live trading environments, digital payments, or cross-border money movement

• Extremely good with numbers: strong quantitative aptitude, with the ability to quickly analyse financial data, spot discrepancies, perform complex reconciliations, and maintain precision across high transaction volumes

• Strong bias toward action — you thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments where priorities shift quickly and real-time decision-making matters

• Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel for data analysis

• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to coordinate clearly across internal teams and external partners

• Solid understanding of fintech business models, digital payments, trading operations, or financial market infrastructure

• Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritise effectively, and maintain operational quality under pressure

Strong Advantage

• Prior experience or strong interest in cryptocurrency, stablecoins, or blockchain-based payment systems

• Experience working with exchanges, trading platforms, digital wallets, or trade-monitoring systems

• Ability to break down complex operational problems, identify root causes, and implement practical solutions quickly

• Prior experience in working in product operations

• Startup experience — you know what it means to build things from scratch with limited resources and high stakes
