Job Summary
As a Specialist - HR Operations at ACKO, you will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, statutory compliance, HR operations, and employee lifecycle management. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Payroll Management
End-to-end payroll processing for on-roll employees, ensuring 100% accuracy and timeliness.
Validate salary inputs such as new joiners, exits, attendance, leave, overtime, incentives, and reimbursements.
Manage monthly salary disbursements, full & final settlements, and related accounting entries.
Coordinate with Finance and external payroll vendors to ensure smooth payroll closure.
Generate payroll MIS reports (CTC, variance reports, cost analysis, etc.)
2. Statutory Compliance
Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and statutory requirements (PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Shops & Establishment Act, Maternity Benefit Act, etc.).
Handle periodic filings such as PF returns (ECR), ESIC challans, Professional Tax, and TDS (in coordination with Finance).
Maintain compliance documentation and liaise with labor authorities, if required.
Stay updated on changes in labor legislation and ensure timely implementation.
3. HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle Management
Manage onboarding formalities including documentation, induction coordination, and HRMS updates.
Handle employee data management and maintain accurate HR records in HRMS.
Manage leave, attendance, and time office processes.
Execute exit formalities including clearance, full & final processing, and issuance of relieving letters.
Provide support in HR audits and statutory inspections.
4. HR Systems & Process Excellence
Maintain and update HRMS/payroll systems to ensure accuracy and automation.
Drive process improvements to reduce manual interventions and errors.
Generate periodic HR dashboards and reports for management review.
5. Employee Support
Serve as the first point of contact for employee queries on payroll, benefits, and compliance.
Ensure timely resolution of employee issues with high service orientation.
Support HR in implementation of policies, benefit plans, and HR initiatives.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of payroll processes and statutory compliance.
Hands-on experience with HRMS/Payroll software (SAP, Oracle, Darwinbox, PeopleStrong, or similar).
Excellent Excel and data management skills.
Good understanding of Indian labor laws and HR compliance.
Strong attention to detail, process orientation, and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle confidential data with integrity.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
MBA/PGDM in HR (preferred, not mandatory).
3+ years of experience in HR operations, with specific focus on payroll and compliance.
