At ACKO, we are seeking a highly skilled Life Medical Underwriter to join our team. As a Life Medical Underwriter, you will play a vital role in underwriting and evaluating the life insurance applications for our clients. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex medical and financial information to make informed decisions.

Our ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of life insurance policies, medical underwriting principles, and regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for reviewing medical records, financial statements, and other relevant documents to assess the risk of insuring clients. Your expertise will enable us to provide our customers with accurate and timely underwriting decisions, ensuring their financial well-being is protected.

Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate life insurance applications, including medical records and financial statements, to assess the risk of insuring clients.

  • Analyze complex medical and financial information to make informed underwriting decisions.

  • Communicate with internal stakeholders, including underwriting teams and product specialists, to gather information and coordinate underwriting decisions.

  • Collaborate with external clients, including medical professionals and financial advisors, to gather information and provide underwriting decisions.

  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of life insurance policies, medical underwriting principles, and regulatory requirements.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, trends, and best practices to ensure accurate and timely underwriting decisions.

  • Lead underwriting teams and provide guidance and support to ensure accurate and timely underwriting decisions.

  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with life insurance applications, including fraud and non-compliance.
