The devotion market is a $44B opportunity in India (growing at 10% CAGR), which is primarily offline and unorganised. Of the $44B, the temples drive GMV of ~$27B in temple offerings, services, and commerce. There are 2M+ temples in India - about 10k of these temples have a strong historical and cultural significance. Tourism to these religious places is a $10B opportunity. The Sri Mandir app is the world’s largest app for Hindu devotees and growing 20-25% month-on-month.
Role Overview:
We’re looking for a culturally rooted Copy & Content Writer to shape the voice and tone of our storytelling. This role goes beyond sharp, action-driving copy; it also requires creating rich, informative, and engaging long-form content that resonates with users’ devotional journeys. You’ll balance short-form persuasive copywriting (for campaigns, app, and performance marketing) with long-form content writing (blogs, articles, knowledge pieces) to establish us as both a trusted devotional brand and a thought leader in the faith-tech space.
What You'll Do:
● Write crisp, compelling copy for app, website, banners, notifications, emails, and social media.
● Create engaging long-form and short-form content (blogs, knowledge articles, thought pieces) on devotion, rituals, and festivals.
● Translate devotional and mythology concepts into relatable, user-friendly communication.
● Craft high-conversion copies for performance marketing and product communication.
● Collaborate with design, content, and marketing teams to deliver contextual, brand-aligned messaging.
● Ensure all copy and content is on-brand, error-free, and emotionally resonant with target users.
● Leverage user insights and performance data to iterate and optimize both copy and content formats.
● Maintain consistency in tone and voice across all short-form and long-form user touchpoints.
Requirements
● 3+ years of experience in copywriting for digital products or brands.
● Strong command over English with a flair for storytelling.
● Prior work in devotional/spiritual or culturally rooted themes is a plus.
● Understanding of user psychology and content performance metrics.
● Fast, adaptable, and detail-oriented.
