The devotion market is a $44B opportunity in India (growing at 10% CAGR), which is primarily offline and unorganised. Of the $44B, the temples drive GMV of ~$27B in temple offerings, services, and commerce. There are 2M+ temples in India - about 10k of these temples have a strong historical and cultural significance. Tourism to these religious places is a $10B opportunity. The Sri Mandir app is the world’s largest app for Hindu devotees and growing 20-25% month-on-month.

Position: Temple Success Associate Director

Location: Bangalore (with frequent travel across India) Department: Supply

Role Overview

As Temple Success Director, you will be the face of AppsForBharat for temple partners across India. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure strong, lasting relationships with temples, drive engagement, retention, and operational excellence. You’ll lead account management, nurture partnerships, solve for on-ground challenges, and ensure temples see long-term value from our association. This is a high-ownership, culturally sensitive, and field-driven role ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of relationships, operations, and purpose.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evolve temple relationships into long-term, purpose-driven partnerships

  • Co-create Strategic Partnership Plans with key temple stakeholders, outlining shared goals and synergy opportunities

  • Lead periodic Alignment & Impact Reviews to reflect on recent engagement, and set next-stage priorities that deepen devotees’ experience and temple reach.

  • Safeguard relationship health by tracking early signals of disengagement, conducting root-cause analyses, and mobilising swift support

  • Stay close to the ground – maintain regular on-site and virtual touchpoints with temple key stakeholders to surface day-to-day blockers; convert these insights into swift tactical unlocks by rallying Category, Operations, Product, Marketing, and CX teams.

Who You Are?

  • Strategic operator (6-12 yrs) who’s scaled partnerships or customer success in B2B or SaaS companies

  • Big-picture & boots-on-the-ground – Ability to create long term roadmaps, yet able to identify tactical or operational blockers and mobilise internal teams to drive necessary interventions

  • Cross-functional catalyst – Able to identify and share insights with cross functional teams such as Product, CX, Category, Operations to deliver more value to temples

  • Culturally fluent – Hindi & English (plus regional languages welcome); deeply respectful of temple protocols. Willing to immerse in learning about hindu rituals and building trust with temple key stakeholders.

  • Data-savvy – love field travel, wield metrics to prioritise, persuade, and showcase impact

  • Humble, grounded and high emotional intelligence
