About the Role

  • Lead the full record-to-report global process, including invoice creation and collections from partners/customers.

  • Lead the initiative to reduce days sales outstanding and ensure accounts receivable agings are complete and accurate.

  • Lead and review reconciliations across Cover Genius’ multiple receipt methods globally.

  • Lead global invoicing troubleshooting when partner issues arise by partnering with contract management, customer support and tax teams, ensuring credits are appropriately reflected on partner/customer invoices as/if needed. 1

  • Primary support for external audits/reviews within regions and work with Global Controller to prepare for audits.

  • Partner with Global Tax Director to ensure pass-through taxes, such as VAT, GST, US Sales Tax, are reflected correctly on partner invoices.

  • Partner with the Global Treasury and FP&A Teams in providing support for cash inflows from partners/customers.

  • Ensure accuracy & adequacy of business' revenue reporting processes by drafting, revising and evaluating relevant internal policies and procedures.

  • Serve as subject matter expert in all matters related to accounting for invoice to cash from partners/customers.

  • Support in planning and project work, key projects.

  • Recommending and driving improvement to processes, systems, and control frameworks.

Skills & Experience:

What you will bring:

  • Big 4 or mid-tier trained, with further commercial experience.

  • Familiarity with revenue accounting across multiple jurisdictions, preferably working with highly complex revenue models.

  • At least 10 years' experience in finance, with a focus on accounts receivable oversight.

  • NetSuite experience with invoicing and cash collections.

  • A proven people leader who can also operate independently with experience in delivering projects end-to-end.

  • Strong stakeholder business partnering capability.

  • Must be proactive and be able to work well independently and partner with reporting, FP&A, Tax and Treasury Teams.

  • Team building and team leadership.

  • Must show initiative and be able to operate on their own.

  • Insurance/Financial Services experience a bonus but not a requirement.

  • Open to travel.
