What We Need:

Datassential is a fast-growing SaaS company with a strong foundation and big ambitions. As we expand internationally, we’re looking for a Payroll Manager who’s excited to build scalable, accurate, and people-first payroll processes that support our next phase of growth.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of payroll operations across multiple countries - including US, Canada, France, and the UK using Rippling as our core system. You’ll be the go-to expert for all things payroll, ensuring our people get paid accurately, on time, and in compliance with local laws.

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves both precision and process, and who enjoys being part of a scaling, collaborative team.

What You Will Do:

  • Run and manage U.S. and international payroll using Rippling.

  • Make sure payroll is accurate, timely, and compliant - every cycle, every time.

  • Partner with HR and Finance on compensation updates, benefits, and reconciliations.

  • Stay up to date on payroll laws and tax regulations in all relevant jurisdictions.

  • Manage vendor and government relationships for payroll taxes, benefits, and filings.

  • Support year-end activities (W-2s, T4s, P60s, etc.) and audits as needed.

  • Respond to employee questions about pay, deductions, and related issues with clarity and care.

  • Find opportunities to streamline and automate processes as we scale.

  • Protect employee data confidentiality and ensure security across all payroll systems.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of payroll experience, including U.S. payroll management.

  • Hands-on experience with Rippling.

  • Experience running payroll in at least one other country (Canada, U.K., EMEA, or similar).

  • Deep understanding of payroll compliance, tax filing, and reporting requirements.

  • A love for details - and the ability to keep things organized even when juggling multiple deadlines.

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience in a high-growth SaaS or tech company.

  • Exposure to HRIS or accounting integrations.

  • A certification such as CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or equivalent.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary and bonus

  • Affordable health insurance; includes a no-cost employee-only plan

  • Paid parental leave

  • 401K with dollar-for-dollar company match up to 5%

  • Unlimited PTO, recharge days, and Christmas through New Year break

  • Flexibility to work remotely with a Remote Stipend

  • Wellness Reimbursement and HQ Gym access
