About the role

We’re looking for a Contract Recruiter to join our team and help us build the next generation of DeepScribe’s talent, especially within our engineering, AI, and data science teams.

This person will own the full-cycle recruitment process, from sourcing to closing, and will play a key role in ensuring we hire exceptional people quickly and thoughtfully as we continue to grow.

While the main focus will be on technical recruiting, this person may also support searches across other teams such as product, operations, and customer success.

What you’ll do

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for roles across engineering, AI, data science, and other departments as needed

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand role requirements, ideal candidate profiles, and interview processes

  • Build diverse candidate pipelines through creative sourcing strategies 

  • Screen candidates for technical and culture alignment, ensuring a great candidate experience throughout

  • Support coordination of interviews and maintain candidate communications through Kula (ATS)

  • Provide guidance to hiring teams on recruiting best practices, interview feedback, and decision-making

  • Track metrics to ensure efficiency and transparency in the hiring process

  • Represent DeepScribe’s mission, values, and culture to prospective candidates

About you

  • 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with a focus on technical roles (software engineering, AI/ML, or data science)

  • Proven ability to source and close top talent in a competitive market

  • Experience working with startup or high-growth tech companies preferred

  • Strong communication and organization skills — able to manage multiple roles and stakeholders simultaneously

  • Experience using ATS systems and sourcing tools

  • Comfortable operating independently in a fast-moving environment

Contract Details

  • Type: 1099 Independent Contractor

  • Compensation: $30–$45 per hour, depending on experience

  • Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week

  • Duration: 6 months, with the possibility of extension based on business needs

  • Benefits: This role is not eligible for employee benefits or company-sponsored time off; the contractor manages their own schedule and workload

  • Equipment: The contractor may use their own computer; if DeepScribe provides equipment, it is for data security access only and remains company property
