We are seeking a proactive Tax Manager to join our team. In this role, you will lead the tax and regulatory functions, ensuring compliance with direct and indirect taxes, customs duties, and international trade regulations while collaborating with multiple departments to optimize costs and mitigate risks. You will play a pivotal role in managing audits, advising on tax strategies, and driving process improvements to ensure seamless financial operations and compliance across the organization

Assists in day-to-day functioning of the tax and regulatory within the finance team
Manage TDS, TCS, Equalisation Levy, GST compliances, Form 15CA/ CB, RBI compliances etc for all group companies
Responsible for managing all aspects of customs duties and compliances related to international trade
Work closely with other departments, mainly logistics, supply chain, legal, and finance, to optimize duty costs, mitigate risk, and ensure timely and accurate reporting
Identify and evaluate opportunities for customs duty optimisation, including Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), Duty Drawback programs, and other strategies.
Manage and document transfer pricing policies and ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
Provide tax advice on ad-hoc business issues or projects as needed.
Advise on the tax implications of corporate structure, including business operations, investments, and joint ventures.
Participate in planning on imports to structure the customs duty
Reconciliations of input tax credit under GST, TDS reconciliations other reconciliations required under different tax laws
Lead group international tax compliances
Support on review and negotiation of contracts from an overall tax, commercial, finance and regulatory perspective
Lead discussions and coordination with external consultants, lawyers, and tax & regulatory authorities, including meetings and representations on behalf of the company
Coordinate with consultants for audits, diligences, tax audits, internal audits, transfer pricing certifications, etc. Ensure expenses are booked in the correct entity.
Collecting and analyzing various accounting / operational data to prepare monthly reports, reconciliations, etc.
Identify and drive automation and process improvements, including creating standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, quick reference summary dashboards, etc.
Analyze financial data – and create optimal operating models for supporting decision-making.
Understand the economics, metrics, and drivers of costs and share leads on potential opportunities to optimize costs.
Design and administer internal controls over tax and financial reporting, including process controls.
Ensure processes are lean, agile, and organized to enable relevant stakeholders to focus on making timely and accurate decisions.
The person is expected to take hands-on initiatives and lead and execute activities in his/her areas with minimum supervision/monitoring or assistance.
Should be a problem solver, take the initiative, and proactively reach out to stakeholders to solve deadlocks/issues.
The ideal candidate should have completed CA articleship training and 5-7 years of working experience in tax, accounting, and finance, preferably in a Big4 firm.
Should have in-depth knowledge of corporate tax, international tax, indirect taxes, and accounting standards
Working knowledge of PF, PT, ESI, MCA, and RBI compliances
Excellent oral and written communication skills
