Digantara is seeking a proficient Lead Satellite Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team who is passionate about how an assembled structure outperforms expectations while comprising different materials and structural members that are shaped and machined in various ways. In this role, the candidate leverages expertise to design, develop, and realize CubeSat/MicroSat and ground support structures.

Someone with strong experience leading the design, analysis, and realization of structures for CubeSats and MicroSats in Low-Earth Orbit.
Carry out design trade-offs and generate hardware configurations based on the satellite bus and payload requirements.
Lead structural design engineers, create CAD models, and conduct analytical calculations, simulations, and finite element analysis to ensure the hardware design meets all system requirements.
Assess the impact of change in hardware design on system-level thermal, environmental, and load characteristics.
Convert finalised CAD models into documentation for hardware realization(e.g., fabrication drawings, assembly procedure documents, integration requirements, etc.).
Ensure DFM and AIT readiness of the cubesat/microsat structure.
Design and realise tools, fixtures, and jigs required to assemble and test the hardware.
Create detailed test plans, execute structural hardware testing for qualification and acceptance.
B.Tech/B.E, M.Tech/M.E, or PhD in Aerospace /Mechanical/ Structural Engineering.
6 to 10 years of professional experience in designing and realizing CubeSat/microsat structures & related mechanical ground support equipment.
Proven expertise with aerospace hardware development projects, from conceptualisation to hardware realisation, testing, and delivery.
Strong proficiency in working on CAD and FEA software like SolidWorks, NX, Ansys, NASTRAN, or any equivalent.
Experience with material selection, qualification, and vibration testing.
Strong first principles thinking with a deep understanding of structural design, analysis, and testing.
Experience in assembly, fabrication, and machining of structural components.
Prior experience in leading a team for design and developmental activities.
Understanding of satellite subsystems and systems-first development approach.
