Here at LionsBot, we are all one team, striving together for excellence.
We are seeking a highly skilled and organized key member in Lionsbot’s New Product Introduction (NPI) team. You will play a critical role in bridging the gap between Product Development and Manufacturing. You will be responsible for driving the seamless industrialization of new products from the early-stage prototypes to full-scale production, ensuring robust documentation, process readiness, and cross-functional alignment. Your expertise will be vital in identifying and resolving design and manufacturability issues, especially when scaling up production internally or transferring to contract manufacturers.
What you will do
Lead the transition of products from development to manufacturing, ensuring readiness for both in-house and contract manufacturing environments
Develop, maintain and control manufacturing documentation (BOMs, Work Instructions, Assembly Drawings, Test Protocols, SOPs)
Identify and document design improvements required for production scaling during DV (Design Validation) and PV (Production Validation) phases
Plan and execute pilot/pre-production builds to validate product and process readiness
Support, develop and validate manufacturing process, jigs and fixtures
Identify and close gaps in design, documentation, or process that may impact CM production
Support supplier onboarding activities including FAI (First Article Inspection), PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and process audits
Lead on-the-ground troubleshooting and implement corrective actions
Act as the technical liaison between internal and external partners for smooth collaboration and issue resolution (Production, R&D, Supply Chain, Quality Team, Suppliers)
Participate and execute ECN/ECO/ECR processes, ensuring timely communication and implementation of changes across stakeholders
Maintain and update technical documentation including assembly instructions, wiring diagrams, service manuals, revision histories, and BOMs.
Drive initiatives to improve product manufacturability, reduce cost and enhance quality
Analyze build and field data to identify trends and implement design or process improvements
What you will need
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
3-5 years of hands-on experience in NPI or Manufacturing Engineering, preferably in high-mix, low-to-medium volume environments
Proven track record of transferring products from development to both in-house and contract manufacturing
Strong technical expertise in mechanical design, mechatronic systems, and complex assembly operations (assembly, electronics, wiring, software integration and testing)
Proficient in interpreting mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and GD&T
Familiar with manufacturing processes including machining, injection molding, sheet metal and electronics
Experience with pilot builds, tooling validation, process qualification
Experience with supplier qualifications (PPAP, FAI, audits)
Working knowledge of change management systems (ECN/ECO/ECR) and configuration control
Strong root cause analysis capabilities using multiple structured problem-solving methodologies (PFMEA, 5-Why, 8D, Ishikawa)
Familiarity with Solidworks Composer and wiring diagram softwares is preferred
Comfortable working on the production floor and collaborating with cross-functional teams, driving alignment between engineering, operations and suppliers.
Good to have: Experience with AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles), AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots), or similar autonomous robotic systems used in material handling or factory automation
