Hardware Support Engineer

We're seeking an experienced Hardware Support Engineer to be our highest-level technical expert for sustaining robot products in the field. You'll resolve the most complex hardware issues, perform deep root cause analysis, and drive continuous reliability improvements across our robot fleet.
Key Responsibilities
Resolve hardware escalations from field teams, distributors, and customers within SLA targets
Perform deep root cause analysis on field failures using structured methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone)
Drive corrective actions with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams
Analyze field failure data to identify trends and recommend reliability improvements
Create and maintain technical documentation including repair guides and diagnostic procedures
Train and mentor L1/L2 support engineers on hardware troubleshooting techniques
Support ECN implementations and provide field impact assessments
Participate in NPI-to-sustaining transitions and production line support when needed
Build and maintain technical knowledge base for the support organization
Qualifications & Experience
5+ years in hardware support, field service, or reliability engineering
Strong hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and embedded systems troubleshooting
Proficient in Solidworks
Proficient in RCA methodologies (8D, 5-Why, FMEA, Fishbone)
Excellent technical writing and documentation skills
Experience training and mentoring junior engineers
Background in robotics, automation, or similar electromechanical products preferred
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering preferred
