Matter is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps Engineer to lead the setup, management, and monitoring of our cloud platform setup. This individual will collaborate closely with our development team to design, build, and deploy robust DevOps pipelines that streamline our software development lifecycle. As a key member of our engineering team, the ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of our cloud infrastructure.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud computing platforms, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). They will work closely with the development team to architect and implement scalable, secure, and efficient infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of our business.
In addition to cloud infrastructure experience, candidates with on-prem infrastructure management experience will be considered a bonus. We are looking for someone with strong agency, pro-activeness, and aptitude to take ownership of our cloud infrastructure and drive innovation.
Extensive experience in designing, building, and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Strong understanding of containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes.
Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager.
Knowledge of security best practices, including encryption, access control, and identity and access management.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proven track record of successfully implementing DevOps practices, including continuous integration, continuous deployment, and continuous monitoring.
Experience with cloud cost optimization and management.
Understanding of cloud security and compliance frameworks, such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, or SOC 2.
Design, build, and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Work closely with the development team to architect and implement DevOps pipelines that automate testing, building, and deployment of software applications.
Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager to ensure consistency and reproducibility of infrastructure deployments.
Implement monitoring and logging tools to ensure visibility into application performance and infrastructure health.
Develop and maintain documentation for cloud infrastructure, including architecture diagrams, deployment scripts, and configuration files.
Collaborate with the development team to identify and implement security best practices to protect against cyber threats.
Provide guidance and support to the development team on cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and make recommendations for future infrastructure investments.
Manage cloud infrastructure costs and optimize resources for efficient use.
Ensure compliance with cloud security and compliance frameworks, such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, or SOC 2.
