As the Automotive Field Service Technician, you will collaborate closely with vehicle systems engineers to repair/maintain flawless systems and subsystems that deliver an exceptional all-electric camping experience. The scope includes powertrains, HVAC, suspension and braking systems, closures, glazing, interior and exterior cosmetic panels, plumbing, electrical systems, and everything else in the engineering development process. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Diagnose, service, and repair vehicle systems including: EV powertrain and electrical systems, HVAC and plumbing systems, suspension, braking, closures, and body panels (interior & exterior)

  • Support prototype builds, modifications, and testing for new vehicle designs.

  • Instrument and prepare vehicles for engineering tests and demos.

  • Fabricate and assemble prototype parts, fixtures, and workshop tooling.

  • Develop and document service procedures and improvements for scalability.

  • Provide exceptional customer-facing service for delivered vehicles when needed.

  • Travel up to 50% to support vehicles in the field, testing sites, and customer locations.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2+ years of automotive repair/service experience — ASE certifications or HVAC handling certification preferred.

  • Hands-on experience in instrumenting and troubleshooting electrical systems, including installing and maintaining sensors, wiring, and measurement equipment across diverse hardware platforms.

  • Hands-on experience with EVs, hybrids, or RV systems highly desirable.

  • Skilled in troubleshooting complex systems (electrical, thermal, mechanical).

  • Familiarity with wiring schematics, process flow diagrams, and CAD drawings.

  • Bonus: experience with machining, welding, or composites fabrication.

  • Strong communicator with ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced startup.
